As you might have guessed with my recent posts, I have decided to take the next step in my story. Who would have thought when I closed the doors in February on ...my old location to make the move to the new store for March 1, that the doors would be closed until now. Relocating to the new store meant a larger space which would allow room to host special events, bring in vendors and expand my inventory. I cant host events. I cant be open 5 days a week as we dont have childcare until the at least the fall - not fair to vendors Auctions are very scarce, garage sales are non existent and my inventory has almost run empty (thats a good thing and bad thing!) I have decided to close the physical doors on the store. Is this forever, no. Its the end for now and the start of something new. Thanks to a grant I received, I am working on a new website which will allow sales to be a lot easier online and allow me to focus on that side of the business, which has been very successful throughout COVID and the store being closed. It has been a lot to run a physical store, an online store and be home with our kids. Something needed to give and with the bridge up for 14 months, then COVID it made sense for now to close the physical store. This isnt how it was supposed to be, I am heart broken to see the store close before it was ever open but who could have predicted a pandemic hitting at the same time!? I will be back! This isnt goodbye, more like see you later! For now the store remains open Friday and Saturday 12-4 with some really awesome deals! The physical store will be closed by the end of July. I didnt post anything before now as I didnt want to be faced with the oh Im so sorry type messages. I am okay with it, so you can be too! Please just come in, shop and enjoy while we can! The old world charm was evident in the streets of Port Stanley today with these beautiful special guests. Horse and carriage rides are back tomorrow night and weather permitting Sunday afternoon.
