What a great initiative to encourage shopping local and supporting Portage businesses! By participating, you also have a chance to win up to $500 in gift cards! A Legion Face Mask probably counts as an item of clothing from a local retailer... and a Legion Membership or Renewal is always a great gift idea ;)
Here's another great way to get in touch with our troops this holiday season, virtually!
What a great way to celebrate one of our community's centenarians!
Thanks PortageOnline.com for sharing our Poster & Literary Contest! Winning posters will be displayed at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa. Get your submission in by November 6 at 6pm! Contact us for more information. https://portageonline.com//royal-canadian-legion-s-poster-
Have you heard about our face masks? This is a great way to show your support of our Veterans as we come up to Remembrance Day and help to financially support our struggling Legions through the pandemic. Masks are $10/each. At this time, the large size (7.5" by 7.5") is on back order but we still have some adult small (7" by 5") available. We are open Thursdays and Fridays 2pm-9pm and everyone is welcome to pop in for a drink and get your mask while they last! We will make an announcement when the large size is available again. https://winnipeg.ctvnews.ca/how-legion-designed-masks-could
If you send your holiday greetings THIS WEEK they should still arrive in Belleville in time to be shipped out for Christmas!

Send us a message or pop by the Legion on Thursday or Friday (2-9pm) to inquire about becoming a member or volunteering and supporting Canada's veterans in our community.
We are OPEN again this week! Thank you everyone for your understanding about our interruption in hours last week. Come on out to Peanut Butter & No Jam tomorrow night and Meat Draw & Chase the Ace - OPEN TO PUBLIC! Friday night!
If you're already "stuffed" with turkey, don't forget that Legion Bingo is taking place tonight!
May you stay safe, stay healthy and find joy in this Thanksgiving weekend.
Please note that due to unforeseen circumstances, the Cedar Lounge will be CLOSED this week (Thursday & Friday Oct 8/9). We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your continued understanding and support.
Are you starting to think about Christmas gifts already? Please consider shopping local and supporting our community businesses that have been deeply affected by the pandemic. We have so many hardworking individuals in Portage la Prairie operating some pretty amazing businesses that we don't want to lose! If you would like to support the Legion, consider purchasing or renewing membership for friends and family or making a donation in a loved one's name.
It's Monday again.. you know what that means?! Legion Bingo tonight! Come on down!
Odds of winning were excellent last week... come on down and try your luck this week. The Legion needs the support of our community and your BBQ needs one last run before winter ;) It all starts TONIGHT at 5:30, followed by Chase the Ace! Doors are open at 2pm and we'd love to see you there.
One of the many perks and discounts of a Legion membership! Come on down to the Cedar Lounge or message us to discuss how to get yours.
