The Bold Center is turning 10 years old in 2021! We're inviting everyone who has saved photos or videos from the Bold Center (or a clip that talks about our fac...ility) to share them using the hashtag #BeBold10 for our 10th year anniversary video. We're looking for anything that's family friendly and shows good times being had. By posting with that tag, you'll be entered to win a 6 month all- access pass to the Bold Center and Pool. And, if we really like your photo or clip, you'll be featured in the video! We'll accept posts from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok. By posting a Bold Center memory on these platforms with the hashtag #BeBold10, you are agreeing to be featured in the anniversary video. The giveaway will end on January 16th.

Starting today, the COVID-19 changes and easements announced by the Province now allow County recreation facilities to offer the following: - School/Team activ...ities: Children and youth (participants must be 18 years of age and under) including practices, lessons, and conditioning activities offered indoor and outdoor up to a max of 10 individuals. This count includes coaches, trainers, participants. - One-on-one & family cohort personal training and conditioning (when booked by appointment and sessions are paid for) are also available (parent accompaniment of any minors, 1 per family, will be permitted in the designated area for one-on-one training for safety reasons). - Aquatics lessons (for individual and family cohorts) are scheduled a few days per week starting February 22. These were previously postponed winter lessons and times may have changed slightly. Previously registered participants have been contacted. - The food court in the Bold Center (Rustic Bean, Tara’s Pizza and Booster Juice) and Top Shelf Grill in Plamondon Arena remain open for take-out orders only. Yesterday, the Government of Alberta announced strict COVID-19 regulations, including an immediate requirement to wear masks in all indoor public spaces in Albe...rta. Council also discussed a Temporary Face Covering Bylaw at our meeting yesterday, which would expand the Temporary Face Covering Policy that we already have in place for County facilities and vehicles to all indoor public spaces in Lac La Biche County. Provincial regulations mean that we don’t currently need a bylaw: masks are already required in all indoor public spaces throughout Alberta. However, we nonetheless directed Administration to prepare a draft Temporary Face Covering Bylawthat way, Lac La Biche County will be ready if a bylaw is required. In order to get this virus under control, I want to stress that we need to take all Alberta Health Services regulations seriously. Please review the Government of Alberta website (linked below) and ensure that you follow all the restrictions that apply to you. Lac La Biche County staff are working to determine how the restrictions will affect regular County operations. They will have more details to announce before the end of the week. Stay safe, and be patient and kind to one another. We’ll make it through this together.
