OK Port Rowan - Show me your COVID-19 pictures!! During this time our team is NOT allowed to be out and about collecting pictures and unfortunately, that leaves our newspaper looking a little bland, sooooo as always, I need YOUR help - hey, we don't call it a COMMUNITY newspaper for nothing! I'm looking for positive pictures that represent this unique time we are living in and they can include a variety of ideas:... A unique porch drop off (bonus points if you have the deliverer in the pic) A project you have been working on since isolation started; new - old - forgotten yet remembered.... (bonus points if there is a person in the picture) Have you celebrated an event during isolation like a birthday or an anniversary? What did that look like for you? (bonus points.....ok you get it, I like to see faces in those pics, plus there are actually no bonus points, just a really appreciative PRGN editor :) Those are some ideas but I know you are a creative bunch and I'm excited to see what you send me! Before you scroll past this post here's a few things to consider: - most of our readers aren't social media users and in isolation BY THEMSELVES, soo sending in your pictures will surely brighten their day and help keep them connected to this amazing community. - We are a small business too and we need your support, and you can do that simply by sharing this post, or by sending us a picture! (send to [email protected] and don't forget who/what/why/where) For those of you asking: The combined issues of the Port Rowan Good News and The Port Dover Maple Leaf is a temporary solution to a situation out of our control. In order to keep our long standing, much loved newspaper rolling out its Good News, we will continue to combine the issues until further notice. We really appreciate the positive feedback we have received so far!!

Hello from The Good News! (please read until the end) In response to COVID-19 - our office will be closed until further notice. I will be returning urgent phones calls and emails on a daily basis and our team will be conducting interviews and gathering stories this way as well. On our family walk this morning, which has become a pleasant part of our day, we were encouraged by the smiling passer-bys, the different measures taken by local churches and business owners to make ...this situation easier and of course the mild weather that allows us to be outdoors. What has encouraged YOU during this time of uncertainty and new found reality? Id love to hear from you. How are you keeping busy in isolation? How have you reached out into the community, how have others reached out to you? You can email me at [email protected] or send me a message. Pictures are welcomed, but not necessary. As of right now, the Good News will hit mailboxes on March 31 and your messages of encouragement may be found within it!
