Hi I believe most of you know Liam’s battle... If not, please read carefully. Liam is a incredible person, an amazing customer/friend whom we adore.... #togetherwearestronger Alison Powell Nicki Powell John Rothwell //.-// //-// Imagine being eighteen and alone (due to covid) in the emergency room when the physician returns with tears in her eyes!? ... THIS IS LIAM'S STORY Liam, my nephew is a soft hearted, giving, friendly young man with a quirky sense of humor. At the age of eighteen when life is about finishing high school and broadening out into other avenues Liam's world changed drastically. A growth on his thigh which had already been examined was growing rapidly and a trip to the ER was decided. As he sat alone waiting on test results the last thing a young man can imagine is the word CANCER. Liam and his family were given the news that the lump on his thigh was SARCOMA, a rare form of bone cancer. Medical staff began immediately putting a treatment plan into place which required trips to Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. Liam initially endured days of hospitalization at a time for chemotherapy with only weekends home. This continued for months (with extreme illness and weight loss). Unfortunately, the chemo was unsuccessful and the tumor continued to grow to the size of a melon, creating excruciating nerve and muscle pain/damage (not to mention a threat to Liam's life). As if the spring diagnosis wasn't enough he was now given the news that his leg had to be AMPUTATED!!!! AND THE CANCER HAS SPREAD TO HIS LUNGS. Today, Liam continues with a different type of chemotherapy for the small lung spots and has numerous trips to Toronto for rehabilitation using a temporary prosthetic leg. THIS BOY IS BEYOND BRAVE AND DESERVES THE WORLD!!! I am reaching out to ask for everyone who can to help GIVE THE GIFT OF 'LIFE' TO MY NEPHEW. The temporary prosthetic leg is basic and extremely heavy. After months of treatment and endless sick days and nights THIS BOY DESERVES A BRILLIANT GIFT OF A NEW PROSTHETIC LEG!!! PLEASE HELP ME SHOW LIAM THAT WE ARE ALL WITH HIM THROUGH THIS LIFE JOURNEY....ANY LITTLE BIT CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE TOWARDS PURCHASING A TOP GRADE PROSTHETIC....LET US ALL SHOW LIAM THE TRUE MEANING OF THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!!!
