Hey guys I saw this beautiful Siberian husky on 620 about a hour ago, had to wait to get excepted to the group before I could post this. He was just west of Glen alda, had a shock collar but no tags. If anyone knows it I hope this helps you find him.

Our Maddie girl comes from a local animal shelter. We are so thankful for the work they, along with so many others, do. Today to honour Betty White we made another donation. I hope if you were able to you did aswell.

Sundays are usually my day off but this client was in desperate need! Look how happy he is after his hair cut. What a good boy!!

Tick population is definitely on the rise. This year alone I have seen more then I have in all the 10 years I have been grooming combined. Please remember to check your pets and yourself. My daughter had a black legged tick embedded in her this year. If you do find one you can ask your vet to test it or visit etick.ca where you can upload photos and have it identified.

This time of year usually slows down, but 2020 has been full of surprises. November is almost full and December will book up fast because of Christmas. Don't wait too long to give me a shout to get your dog scheduled in.

If I told you these 2 dogs were actually 1 in the same would you believe me? Max came in for his first full spa treatment and was an excellent boy! His mom decided for a full clip down and I absolutely love how he looks although he's a cutie in his before look too.

During these times of us staying home more there has been a big increase in puppy adoption so I thought I would share some tips about grooming puppies. It is very important to introduce grooming early and of course it starts at home. Brushing regularly, touching paws to get them used to handling with lots of praise are great first steps. When it comes to getting that initial groom at a salon remember puppy's first few cuts are more about getting them used to the sounds smell...s touch and general experience of grooming and not about a perfect cut. Generally I recommend bringing a puppy in first just for a bath. The full groom can be overwhelming for a puppy. Even if you have bathed them a home, our equipment is quite different. Not to mention it's a totally different environment and person handling them. Below is a picture of Tilly. A mini doodle puppy who was in for her first cut. She did very well and some dogs are confident enough to have a complete groom on their first visit however, starting slow is important as we build the trust and confidence in a puppy. See more

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been working 7 days a week to catch up while having my kids home distancing learning with me. So thank you for your patience. I've been loving seeing everyone again. I haven't been keeping my phone in my grooming room with me as much so I don't have a lot of pictures to share. But you can always post pictures of your Posh Pet at home

I tell people about this all the time. Finally got a video to share. This is Jack. He is such a sweet, good boy. But sometimes he's little nervous of the loud blow dryer. Instead of trying to get away all he needs is to hold my hand. He's a very brave boy!

It is so important to always check for ticks. On your pet and on yourself. We got this one off of my daughter this morning.

To respect social distancing I have set up a large dog kennel outside. I ask that you put your dog in the kennel once I am outside so the dog is not unattended. You will take any collars and leashes with you. And I will take the dog from the kennel so we can continue to remain 6 feet apart. The same will happen for pick up. I'm working hard to return all your calls and will get everyone in just as soon as I am able to

Just read a report by cbc news that states there will be an announcement tomorrow by doug ford about opening more business soon. In the report it is stated pet grooming will be one of the business mentioned. Fingers crossed

I hope you and your family have been staying safe during these difficult times. Unfortunately dog grooming is classified as a non essential business so I have had to close for now. As soon as I am able I will be up and running and will be happy to see you all again. In the meantime keep up on your brushing and remember when you brush you want to get down close to the skin so it's not just the topcoat being brushed. We want to keep the mats away. I've also had lots of people ...telling me they will have to do some cutting themselves because of hair around the eyes, pads, etc. Rememebr to have fun with it! and remember it will grow back.
