Happy summer! Being a mom of children with anxiety, I've decided to start selling handmade worry stones/fidgets. In a world where we are more stressed, anxious ...and worried than ever, I've created these beautiful calming stones. Nervous kids tend to fidget and giving them something they can keep in their pockets to channel this nervous energy can have a grounding and calming effect. Your child carries it in his or her pocket, and they give it a squeeze or rub it between their thumb and forefinger for a calming effect when they're feeling stressed, worried, anxious or upset. Focusing on the worry stone interrupts negative thoughts and feelings and lowers the intensity of worry. They are also a great tool to encourage and learn about emotional self-regulation. They make no sound, so no worries of interruption or distraction during class, if your child uses it at school. If it breaks, it has "retired" or "done its job". These are also great for adults during stressful times or who have trouble focusing. Worry Stones are $4 each, and come in a wide variety of solid colors or color combinations. As a way to help people keep smiling and stay positive through these trying times, $1 from each sale will go directly to the Legworks Dance Studio "Everyone Should Dance" fund, which sponsors a dancer who may not be in a financial position to be able to pay for classes. If you, or someone you know, would like to purchase a worry stone or have any questions, please leave a comment or send me a message. Have a fantastic day everyone!!!! See more
