Looking forward to the second of four sessions sharing "Positively Canadian" with the residents of The Wexford. Last week we had a lively discussion about NL and the Maritimes. So fun to hear the histories of people who have lived in the eastern part of Canada. Today we're on to Central Canada.
Really feeling like fall today!! Like the crisp night air for sleeping but am missing the deep warmth of the sun.... The cedar trees are a beautiful green all year round...but the leaves along the wall become so beautiful as they are turning red in the fall... so grateful for living here!
My dad, Ivan Steeves Chapman, was a Flying Officer in the 2nd World War. He was stationed in Windsor Mills, Québec and was a flying instuctor. He flew with UNRA in 1949 taking supplies to worn-torn Checkoslovakia and Poland. He had time off in 1942 to marry my mother, Edith Marjorie Dean, in Halifax, NS. They were both much-loved and were very proud Canadians.
