Post Pandemic Predictions 01.01.2021

Good pandemic morning to all: its a gorgeous Good Friday, as Spring bursts forth around us, and I am in love with this day, this sunshine, and promise of renewal. Just finished starting three seed trays, with golden beets, red beets, chard, sugar snap peas, butternut squash, and a pollinator blend, for the bees. When the going gets tough, the tough get planting! I'm also thinking about our world, as it is now occurring so differently from how it was only a month ago. Like eve...ryone else, I'm watching this strange new world unfold, and wondering about the future of people everywhere, the economy, and food sustainability. Hopefully, social phenomenons ranging from pandemic distancing and toilet paper rationing has us looking at our world differently, with a deeper awareness of what is actually important in our day to day lives. Once this pandemic lifts, going back to the crises ridden consumer driven post industrial economy isn't looking very sustainable: even if it is possible, its unlikely our best way forward. Lots of post pandemic predictions being put forth in newspapers and online: looks like big changes coming our way! What an opportunity to re-create a sustainable world! I've created this page as a forum for discussing post pandemic predictions, with a focus on implementing ideas for creating a sustainable local economy. Feel free to post!
