‘POP UP PAINTERS’ event was a amazing success yesterday here in Downtown Campbell River! A big THANK YOU to all the artists that shared their creativity with the community! And another BIg SHOUTOUT to the Campbell River Downtown BIA and Community Futures Strathcona for their ongoing support to our artists and to small businesses in the downtown core! What shall we do next Campbell River?

Nanci Cook and Perrin Sparks participated in the POTA Pop up PAINTERS event today in support of local businesses. Sponsored by Downtown BIA and Community Futures and organized by Partons of the Arts.

Addison, Aaron, Benjamin and Heidi picked up their hats today ... along with gift certificates from stores in the downtown area. Part of the Patrons of the Arts and Downtown BIA project to help local businesses. Grant provided by Community Futures. Fabulous hats!

Urbanary Home and Garden is just plain amazing! All kinds of unique items for home and garden plus now it has our hats #21, #22 & #52 which are found amidst the treasures in this store! Maureen, the owner, is wonderful and do you know she refurbishes furniture? Now that is a talent, If you ask me! Stone house Teas is in the house!!!! Ok maybe in the hat walk but their hat #40 is so cool! You may not be able to go inside the shop but all the fabulous items are still available and u can sit in the deck, enjoy your purchase and marvel at the hat that the team of Christine, Kim, Ronaye, Rose, Kianna and Sarah created! Ahhhh Coho Book Store! The only way it could get better is by displaying our hats #25, #37 & #49! Jane,Lynne, Pam & Jane are the shops’book guru’s and will always find what you need! So pop in !!! And we’re walking..... Photo Tech is the next place we popped into to check out hat #27 and that is quite the hat! Sarmand and Cody are great people to chat about kicking up your game when it comes to photography, printing and photo accessories! Great little shop! So..... Show your CR and make sure to go by and say hi to our downtown retailers! They are there for us so let’s be there for them. Petals Flower Shop is such a little gem of a shop and Marion and Kate work so hard to ensure you always get a perfect bouquet! And they even have other little gift items that can add to your flower purchase! ( I know, as I ended up purchasing a beautiful scarf when I did pop in while doing my hat walk!) So after checking out hat #43 make sure to poke around this lovely shop! Show your CR! Support you downtown retail shops!

Hat Walk has led us to RavenSong Handcrafted Artisan Soaps and we are sure glad it did! What a wonderful shop! Here you will find hat #10 & #38 to see if either of those deserve your vote for Community Favourite! Then take a few minutes to chat with Valerie and Tanya about all the amazing items they have! You know you are going to take something home..just so many options! If decision is to great maybe just choose a whole bunch of items! Show your to our hardworking local downtown shops!

Direct Art not only has three hats on display but also some amazing art for sale! So before you get swept up in some of the art selections make sure to check out hat #10, #26 & #42. After being dazzled by those then spend a bit of time chatting with John and Deb about some of the art/artists being showcased! Remember voting for your favourite hat has to be done at Impressions! Doing the Hats Walk’ has brought us to Signature Oil & Vinegar Tasting Bar where you will find hat#28! What a hat!! While there you have to let the team of Lisa, Simard, Jade and Chelsea do a tasting of their unique products. And don’t worry about getting overwhelmed on how you could use these speciality oils and vinegars! They have suggestions and recipes to make you bust out of your comfort zone and become the chef you know you are! Let’s show our for our CR businesses downtown! Wise & Wonderful store! Yes, you would be wise and wonderful to shop for your small one’s toys here! Great quality and the team of Lisa and Sky make sure you leave with a perfect item! Impressions is not only our voting booth for choosing your favourite hat but also has several of out hats on display! Kris and Melissa, have been wonderful allowing us to do this here!
