Pottery classes! Hi all! If you have been looking to take a pottery class or tried a date night and are itching to get back on the wheel, now is the time! My schedule is flexible and I am wanting to accommodate yours the best I can so we will work together to find a time that works best for everyone. Either sign up with a friend, or let me know dates and times that work best for you and I will see if I can find someone that would be a good match! Lessons will be customized t...o fit the needs of each student. Before you sign up, we will have a conversation and see what your previous experience is and what you are wanting to achieve from taking lessons from me to make sure that it will be a good fit. I have been doing pottery for six years, and have been selling my work for the last three years full-time. I was taught by my grandma who has over thirty years of experience in the business. I have also taught group beginner and intermediate pottery classes for the last three years. I want to show people that the world of pottery isn’t scary, and not only can you pursue it as a rewarding hobbybut the potential to do it professionally is there, without thousands of dollars of debt from a university degree. While taking lessons from me, not only will you learn the fundamentals of throwing but the little details that make all of the difference in the way your piece will turn out. We will be using cone six clay and glazes in the classes. Throughout your classes I will be sharing my knowledge of how to go forward with setting up your own space and continuing to pursue the art after your session. The price for the session is $350 plus a $30 materials fee. That includes eight, two and a half hour long classes, two unsupervised practice sessions as well as clay (up to 44lb) all tools, and glazing materials. My studio is in my house, located twenty minutes south of the city. It is a very easy drive, with approximately five minutes of gravel road driving. I am aiming to start all classes within the next two weeks and am only taking on a limited number of new students so if you are interested, don't wait to get in touch! Days/times will be reserved on a first come/first serve basis, please email me at [email protected] with any questions or to reserve your time! I have weeknight availability as well as some weekend times up for grabs. If you are signing up with someone else give me a couple days/times that work best for you and we will see what we can work out!
