POW Casting

I know the cat is out of the bag, so to speak, but I did want to take some time to introduce our newest addition to our POW-R-Bait weight line up. Available in 4 lb, 6 lb, 8 lb, 10 lb, 13 lb and 16 lb. we have been asked for years if we could offer our premium weights in a glow finish, and we could have. Over those years we have tested and rejected dozens of glow finishes, without finding one that was worthy of offering to our customers. Lets face it Moonshine lures has set ...the bar pretty high in the fishing industry. Finally after almost giving up we discovered a glow coating worth of ours and your time. This glow is incredible. It even has a glow effect when moving a weight from outdoor to indoor light. With a full charge it has a visible glow effect that lasts beyond 4 hours, it has a significant glow effect for 2+ hours. The attached glow test pictures were taken after a 5 min charge with a UV flashlight. Our coloured weights have already proven themselves as fish attractors, our customer constantly report fish coming up and following our weights on their electronics. We are very confident that these weights will be a valuable tool for anyone who trolls at night, in low light or to depths beyond where light rays can effectively penetrate. Regardless of the finish you choose we are confident that our weights will exceed your expectations. Our weights track true and preform well at any speed, in tight turns and in high currents. Our narrow head on profile results in minimal blowback that will stay inside you sonar cone so they are visible on your electronics. our weights stay where they are supposed to and allow tight spreads without causing problems. Our weights do not have any of the compatibility issues with free falling downriggers as reported by some our "fish shaped" competitors. We do not claim our weights are superior to any other premium weights on the market, we leave that up to our customers, however we feel we have developed a weight that is inferior to no one. We also realize that talk is cheap, and prefer to put our money where our moth is, for that reason we offer this simple guarantee. IF YOU BUY ONE OF OUR WEIGHTS AND ARE NOT HAPPY WITH IT, WE WILL MAKE IT RIGHT OR BUY IT BACK. Our glow weights will be available at all our retail partners in the spring. I am proud to be able to congratulate our pro staff team Kings and Fives for their victory in Scotty’s king of kings shootout. This event is concidered by many to be the premier event of its type in both Ontario and Lake Ontario, to win this event is a true accomplishment, to win it in your inaugural season as a competition team is truly amazing. When POW Casting chooses its pro staff, we do not judge our candidates by their tournament record. We instead look at more impo...rtant factors such as how they represent the sport fishing industry, how they support the industry and what they do to progress the industry. The members of Kings and Fives, Kevin Bradley, Wes Busse and Austin LeVan, would not only be the pride of any sponsor, they give back more time to the industry than they spend on the water. All three of them are sitting members of the board for the Halton Region Salmon and Trout association, are active in the organization of the Bronte classic, the HRSTA CPR derby, the bronte pen imprinting project and more. I am proud to call team Kings and Fives one of my pro staff and look forward to years of co-operation. I feel sorry for any teams that they encounter, because they not only have skill on their side, but karma as well.

SNEAK PEEK !!!!! We have decided it is time we expand our selection of premium down rigger weights to include 4 lb, 6 lb and 8 lb models. For years the world of electric downriggers has enjoyed a selection of highly efficient, high performance weights to aid in their trolling endeavours. We feel it is now time that the same choice be offered to those who run manual riggers and Kayaks in pursuit of the same quarry. The molds are in production and we plan to have prototypes as... early as the end of the week. After a short test period with our pro staff we will be getting these into the stores. As part of this new program we have taken on some new pro staffers in the Kayak market, we will be announcing these new partnerships in the coming weeks and look forward to their input and support to develop new products in the fast growing market.
