Due to the new PHO we will be closed tomorrow as we attempt to gain clarity on if we have to close for the two weeks, or closed until we can re-tweak our Covid Safety Plan with whatever new restrictions are necessary. Please stay tuned - we will update you as soon as we know.

High School Gymnastics for Grades 7-12 starts in just a few weeks. You do NOT have to compete if you do not want to. Train 2 or 3 days per week - totally your choice. Train with other teens, learn routines, improve your strength but most important, have some FUN while it's cold outside!! Email [email protected] for more information.

We are adding new classes as we can..... Boys Only Ages 7-12 Thursday 4:00pm-5:30pm..... I am working on a new preschool for early afternoon..... I am working on another Hoemschool class...... IF you have an idea for a class, PM me your desired age range, day of the week and time of the day and I will see what I can do to create a class for you. We need 4 to start a class and we are trying to limit the bubbles to 6 or 8 depending on age.

Summary: The Office Administrator is responsible for assisting the Executive Director in day to day operations, special events and various operational projects throughout the season. You have strong interpersonal skills, work well in a team and positively contribute to the professional delivery of all of Powell River Gymnastics Club’s programs. We require an Office Administrator who is personable, reliable, a self-starter and sharp in a fast-paced environment. Skills required...: The successful applicant will have strong written and spoken communication skills and strong previous experience in customer service. Ability to professionally represent the organization, excellent face to face and phone manner. Reliable, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, a proven ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines. Additionally, strong computer skills and feel comfortable working with the following: Microsoft Word/Excel, online class registration software, Google Apps, spreadsheets, WordPress website, social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc), and photo editing. Past experience with fundraising, special event planning, volunteer coordination, and notfor-profit societies will be an asset. A criminal record check is required upon hiring. Responsibilities: Specific tasks relating to this position but not limited to, include registration, member services, volunteer coordination, organize fundraisers, club communications, and other operational tasks as required. Hours will likely be afternoon/evening hours, but will require some daytime and weekends around specific events and summer/winter breaks. Be the excellent first point of contact for front office walk in, emails, and phone calls; administrative support. Manage and obtain information from, and direct calls from diverse clients. Administrative and accounts payable and receivable support. Also from time to time support for sales and marketing campaigns, updating marketing data, preparation and planning for marketing events. Coordinate and implement weekly staff schedules and customer/membership needs. Support for other staff. Other duties as required. Preference will be given to applicants with prior office experience.
