Some custom artwork we have done for our Neighbors, family and friends. We do all our designs, sandblast and etchings right here in our shop. We like to use traditional techniques so the monuments will have a lasting presence. When you come to us you are supporting an island business . Most importantly we would be an island business supporting you.

Another use of traditional techniques to give this artwork some life. This stone hits close to home as it honours a young woman I grew up around in the same community.

Using traditional techniques of cutting in deep around the art work defines it . Using different grades of sand and amounts of passes to create colour contrast has made this custom Caduceus stand out . This will represent this persons known dedication to the medical field for generations. Notice the literal mirror black finish of the African black stone .

The time came to make a monument for my father. I took the care and attention to detail that he would have. I inherited this from him. He was a perfectionist so it always took him a long long time to complete a project. I just happened to inherit enough of my mother’s decisive nature and work ethic to finish it just before Christmas. The traditional carvings and outlined lettering are not commonly used today and are becoming a lost art . I did these to honour his craftsmanshi...p that he passed down to me . Dad was Irish and mom is Scottish hence the clover on the left and the thistle on the right. The border helps tie it all together for a classic look. This process took some time and patience. I used no paint or highlighter on this monument . It is all natural contrasting techniques. I put my heart into every monument I make , maybe a touch more in this one. Mike Brazil

Below is a letter for your consideration from the trustees of West St. Peters Cemetery. I hope you will read it and consider our request. Our objective is to re...ach as many as possible, who may have connections to our cemetery. Thus, I am asking you to share this letter on your social media page, and to forward this letter to your email contacts that might also have connections to our cemetery. Thank you, Lyman Douglas WEST ST. PETERS CEMETERY Mailing Address: Email address: PO Box 65 [email protected] Morell, PE Telephone: (902) 629 5974 C0A 1S0 Dear Friends of West St. Peters Cemetery: We hope our fundraising letter finds you in good spirits and health. At our recent general meeting, the trustees decided that we should try to improve our funding for the maintenance and continued upkeep of our beautiful cemetery. Thus, we are appealing to you through email and social media. We hope to reach as many as possible who might have loved ones or friends buried at West St. Peters Cemetery. It is our hope that you will give this your consideration and forward or share this appeal to your family and friends. We continue to raise money for our cemetery from two main sources: 1. Donations from families who have a plot in our cemetery. 2. Memorial bequests from funerals during the year. West St. Peters is a non-denominational cemetery with a onetime maintenance fee, left in perpetuity to the public. Thus, we are totally dependent on bequests and volunteers for its upkeep. We are reaching out to you for financial help because of your family’s connection to West St. Peters Cemetery. Donations large or small are gratefully appreciated. We are pleased to accept traditional methods of payment, by cheque, money orders and now also by E-Transfer. All donations should be made payable to: The Trustees of West St. Peters Cemetery at the above mailing address, with E-Transfers emailed to: [email protected] All donors to West St. Peters Cemetery will receive a Tax Receipt. Thank you for your anticipated support for our cemetery.
