Morning Musing: I awake to birdsong , it is 4:45am. the sun will rise at 6:15 and I do not want to miss the first rays as they peak over the small mountain on t...he Bali sea here at Taman Sari. As I sit in silence sipping my first coffee of the day, the taste of brew touches my tongue and awakens my senses . I watch the activity of the resort I am housing my body in for a few days and am delighted to see the staff are already getting ready for their day of service. I watch a long line of about 15 of them walking to the restaurant and realize they are coming from temple located on the premises. They offer offerings and receive blessing. The offerings are not monetary but baskets of flowers , fruit and Incense . I then see a beautiful young girl with an empty tray in her hands and am witness to her picking up the fresh flowers off the ground that have spread their beauty during the night. These flowers will be used for offerings . As she passes my room #29 she brings an offering to put on my table situated outside. Mr Prana passes by and it is almost time for sunrise as we head to the beach together. Another day in paradise. See more
