Dear Families, It come with deep regret that the PPK summer camp and pool membership will not be possible for the summer of 2020. As much as the provincial government has suggested that the Quebec camps and pools are open this summer the complexities around meeting all the COVID 19 requirements possess a risk to the staff and members. ... The decision to not open this summer was not an easy one, we know how much our staff rely on these positions to fund their schooling and how much our families enjoy the friendships and sense of community that come with being at PPK in the summer. We will use this summer to fix some of the much-needed items at PPK and we hope to keep you updated through facebook and email. On behalf of the PPK Executive and Staff, we will miss you all dearly and we look forward to a normal summer for 2021. Good Morning Everyone, We know that many of you have been seeing items in the news and online forums with regards to what is and is not open for summer 2020. As much as the province has said splash pads and pools are open it becomes the responsibility of the local government to set the guidelines that must be followed. We are still working diligently with staff, executives and the city as to how we can do this and ensure that our staff and members will be safe during the sum...mer months. We are hoping to be able to communicate shortly as to how we can move forward. The last we knew when talking about if we could open, the City of Montreal/City of Pierrefonds had said that the earliest could potentially be is July 2, 2020, this was an optimistic statement at the time. There is another item that is out there, fencing... in the coming weeks you will see that there will be temporary fencing in place at PPK while we replace the existing pool fencing, this is a mandate from the City of Montreal as the guidelines of security had changed and must be respected and we could not have been able to make this happen without the amazing support from the City of Pierrefonds. We cannot open the pool until the new fencing is in place and as a result of COVID 19 the process for this was delayed. Again, we are hoping to have some news to share and we will keep you posted. Hey Everyone, PPK is open again this weekend as part of our pre-season, come by and meet our 2019 staff. It was so great to see all of the community coming out last weekend, it was like the winter never happened! Hope to see you there!
