Long post/Update Tansi my friends, it’s been a good minute! A lot has happened here in the past two months. On January 17th we welcomed a (very) healthy baby girl, Ellie Shépard (9lb, 14oz), she’s our deadliest CREEation yet We’ve since moved to a different community. We’re now calling Turnor Lake, SK., home now for the next two years and I think we’re going to love it here. The girls, Jeremie and I have settled in nicely so far. We Met a few of our neighbours and have i...ntroduced ourselves around a bit. Everyone has been so nice, one of my neighbours stopped by yesterday and gave me moose ribs, and she told me where the good berry spots are haha My schooling has not slowed down any, I’m still managing hahaha Looking forward to starting my Master’s thesis project this spring and summer. I’m hoping to partner with the FN here There’s no cell service in Turnor; My oldest daughter was amazed at what a landline is lol and our little Ellie is living her best life eating, sleeping and pooping Once we’ve settled in, Ellie is a little less demanding (she’s exclusively breastfed, and expects to be carried all day ) and we get a good routine going with our baby and schedules, I definitely will be doing a lot more sewing and taking orders (they have sewing days at the local elder’s lodge, I’m gonna go learn how to make quilts sometime!)
