Accessing local information about cover crops has been a major hurdle for cover crop adoption on the Canadian Prairies. In our webinar Q&A farmers voiced the need for online networks for farmers & agronomists to connect, share their cover crop experiences, ask questions, network, and seek opinions about cover cropping. I will be presenting some of my preliminary results from the 2020 Prairie Cover Crop Survey at the Prairie Fruit Growers Association webinar on December 3rd. I would be very keen for more farmers (including fruit, vegetable and horticultural producers) to take part so I can have the largest data set possible to highlight how growers are using cover crops or how you may / may not be planning to use cover crops in the future.
