Todays excursion was a flash patrol this afternoon. It consists of 3 mobile teams giving away winter donations as well as letting people know about the warm up ...locations operating this weekend. Thankful for @station20west for their warm up that is open everyday from 9am-4pm. Also to @prairieharmreduction opening their drop in 9am- 12am (this weekend only). Shout out to the volunteers who showed up today as well! #saskatoonopg #saskatoon #yxe #indigenous #harmreduction #opg #ferda #deadly
This is Bradley. Forever 37 He was a son, a brother, uncle, father and a friend to many who loved him. Bradley loved his daughters: The two most important p...eople in my life, I love them to the moon and back were his last words posted about them from his FB page, as he shared a photo of them sitting on his knees. Bradley had a passion for hunting, fishing, hockey, soccer and baseball. He had a boundless loving heart, a charismatic smile and a presence that influenced any room. He was always there to listen, give advice or embrace you with his amazing hugs that were full of love. Bradley was a beautiful human who is loved and missed everyday. Rest High On The Mountain Bradley.

People are dying in our city from drug overdoses, the release frankly stated. They’re not strangers; they are someone’s child, spouse, sibling, or parent. We can all play a role in preventing these needless fatal events. https://leaderpost.com//65248f38-c759-4667-b679-450c/amp/

Inspector Bill Spearn has been advocating a paradigm shift for much of his career. After witnessing the positive outcomes of #harmreduction and the harms fuelle...d by our current drug policies, he has become a vocal proponent of drug policy reform, which includes #SafeSupply [More Videos] www.gettingtotomorrow.ca - - - - - L’inspecteur Bill Spearn, de la Police de Vancouver, a été le champion de ce changement de paradigme pendant une grande partie de sa carrière. See more

Brandon Applegate, better known as Smiley, was a Chokecherry Youth Leader. He was a friend, a cousin, a son, a brother, a partner. An advocate, a volunteer, a s...tudent. Above all else, he was a loving father. Smiley led with humility and heart. He chose his words carefully and spoke with gentle conviction. He used his voice to carry the messages and concerns of his community and peers. To foster dialogue and understanding. He cared deeply and always sought to bring us together. Tonight we will hold a talking circle, keeping all of this in mind, in his honour. Our doors will open at 5PM and the circle will start at 6PM.
YWCA Prince Albert CEO Donna Brooks says her organization’s Our House shelter is looking a deficit of roughly $75,000 this year because COVID-19 has restricted its capacity, which has resulted in less revenue. https://thestarphoenix.com//de38999b-64ee-4fd9-9a08-/amp/

Our regular drop-in programming has been cancelled this week to give our community time to remember, grieve and support each other. We have lost another young ...light from our world, one that shone so bright it feels like we are now wandering in darkness. I encourage everyone to come together during this time so we can illuminate a path forward to heal and honour their memory. Our doors are open to anyone impacted by this loss. Monday 5-9PM Tuesday 5-9PM Thursday 5-9PM Regular programming will resume next week, Monday, October 12.
