Jennifer Whiteside was elected MLA for New Westminster in 2020 and was appointed the Minister of Education. Previously she was the chief spokesperson and lead negotiator for the Hospital Employees’ Union, she has fought for better public healthcare and the rights of healthcare workers. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked tirelessly to protect seniors and workers in nursing homes across the province. While leading B.C.’s first campaign for a living wage, she fought to ensure that work lifts people out of poverty and allows them to support their families and fully participate in their communities. Jennifer has worked for community organizations and labour unions at the provincial and national level, and in those roles has championed a wide range of social justice issues from accessible post-secondary education and affordable public childcare, to Medicare and health equity. Jennifer was born and raised in New Westminster, holds a degree in History from Simon Fraser University.

Teresa was the president and CEO of Mainstream Broadcasting Corporation CHMB AM1320 and has also served as the news director at Channel M Television (now OMNI TV), and previously served as a communications advisor at B.C.’s Cabinet Policy and Communications Secretariat. In 2015, Princess Astrid bestowed Wat with the Grand Officer of the Order of the Crown, one of the highest decorations from the Kingdom of Belgium. Teresa was instrumental in the launch of B.C.’s first-ever live Cantonese, Mandarin and Punjabi daily television news programs. We also ask for your blessing to rest on his family in Jesus’ name. Amen. Adam Walker was elected the MLA for Parksville-Qualicum in 2020. He is the Parliamentary Secretary for the New Economy. Adam is a small business owner, former town councillor, and farmer. While a town councillor for Qualicum Beach from 2018-2020, he prioritized housing, enhancing public spaces and community engagement. He has owned and operated a tech business in the region for over 15 years. Adam has lived in the Qualicum Beach area all his life and is proud to call the beautiful community home. He and his wife operate a small farm and are raising two daughters.

Father, I bring Jackie Tegart, MLA for Fraser-Nicola, to you. Thank you for her compassionate and caring heart. Thank you for the strength and wisdom you have given her this past year of turmoil and unexpected tragedies. She currently serves as the Official Opposition critic for Education. Jackie has served as Government Caucus Chair and the Liaison for the Community Poverty Reduction Initiative. She has also been a member of a number of committees, including most recently the Cabinet Committee on a Secure Tomorrow, and the Environment and Land Use Committee. Jackie has four children and nine grandchildren with her late husband, Gordon, who lost his battle with cancer in 2009. Jackie and Gordon met in Ashcroft, where she raised her family and continues to live today.

God Cares For You! No matter what is happening in the world, you can rest in knowing that God sits on the throne and He is a good God. He is King and you have a wonderful King! His goodness does not change. His goodness remains steady and does not waver, even in the best of times or in the worst of times. Place your trust in God, not in today's circumstances.... God is good, PERIOD! With such a wonderful King, you can find comfort knowing that He cares for you! He is a good God! Cry out to Him, remember who He is, and rejoice! Praise your God, who so tenderly CARES for you! Remember that God CARES!

November 11, 2020 We remember our veterans especially today. Continuing to say thank you and hold them up with grateful hearts. Even though Covid 19 limits us from attending the live ceremonies, we still will remember and not forget the sacrifices our veterans have made for our freedom this day! God bless you and keep you in His peace today and always. Amen!
