Precious Megapixels

We all rush everything. We aimlessly try to beat the clock and complain that there are not enough hours in the day. We are intelligent beings however, and we know, without a doubt, there are only 24 hours in a day. Insanely, we wake up each day forgetting that we know with concrete absolution, 24 hours will come and go no matter our efforts but we simply forget to slow down and just enjoy what we can. When it comes to taking pictures of my family, I prefer to try and capt...ure real moments rather than artificial poses. I love the posed photos to pass on for family & friends but I like to allow time for just being kids. The same goes for my customers I don’t like making a family come into my studio or any session and watching as the children struggle to put on a natural looking smile. I prefer a real smile, one that comes from a silly joke being told bringing out the belly laugh with a twinkle in the eye that reflects their true and immediate emotions. I’m not going to lie with everything going on in the world today I was very hesitant to offer these Gingerbread house making sessions, but I thought why not? Each and everything that is used as props is cleanable and each client was getting their own Gingerbread house & decorating ingredients anyways with or without this crazy year.It has always been important to keep things clean each customer no matter what type of session I was holding. I have to say I am so happy I went through with it. My clients enjoyed their time in my studio. Their eyes lit up, got some belly laughs, got messy, filled their bellies with candy, their minds with memories and for that time nothing in the world mattered anymore. They were living in that moment that time enjoying their children being little. We need to remember that no matter what is happening in the world around us, good or bad, time will always continue moving forward, it will never go backwards. You will never get these moments back so we do need to keep cherishing every moment as if it were the last. We need to stop & laugh so hard our stomachs hurt, eat too much candy and just enjoy the moments we are given. See more
