Today also marks the 21st year anniversary of my first day in the jewellery arts program at George Brown college in Toronto that brought to where I am today. Hard to believe it's been that long. Yellow gold added to a jade disc

There are so many interesting things that can be done to precious metals. The technique here is the heat treatment of silver. Unfortunately, silver will ultimately tarnish and the colours will change. This was done with a soft flame. It starts with a straw yellow, going through the spectrum to dark blues and purples.

Loved making this Silver bangle. All recycled material supplied by the customer! There is nothing wrong with transforming things you don't wear into something you will treasure.
