Since this client went with my suggestion of painting the solid oak doors flat black, I then suggested we do the same with the windows... paint them black and the jambs and casing in the same Simply White eggshell as the walls.

80 year old solid oak doors. Client and I wrestled with options for weeks, she finally went with my suggestion of painting all the oak trim white and the doors flat black.
