The Pembina Propane Terminal is up and running on Watson Island with the first LPG ship having arrived on Friday. Rupert’s biggest liability is now a massive asset.

Great news folks, air service is being restored at the Prince Rupert Airport starting June 22nd!

Pembina’s Prince Rupert terminal is in the commissioning phase and has received the first train shipment as part of the commissioning process. Pembina is continuing commissioning and once it’s complete, the facility will begin the in-service stage. We are excited about this milestone and look forward to the facility being fully in-service and the arrival of the first ship in early April 2021.

Today the Make Prince Rupert Home Labour Recruitment Program launched with the goal to promote Prince Rupert and Port Edward, and connect local employment opportunities to potential employees in Northern and Interior BC, and Western Canadian communities. The program is intended to support local employers ongoing human resource efforts by increasing the reach of employment opportunities to targeted communities. This requires employers to sign-up and post their employment opportunities on the website. Thank you to those employers who have signed up and posted employment opportunities. Make Prince Rupert Home Recruitment Program Webinar Make Prince Rupert Home is a new program that will be launched at the end of this month to assist local employers with employee recruitment to Prince Rupert. The program will include a marketing program and associated website that showcases the city’s amenities and services, and aggregates employment opportunities from throughout the community. Join the partners of this project Prince Rupert Port Authority, Community Futures, the City of Prince Rupert, in this session hosted by the Prince Rupert and District Chamber of Commerce for an information session for local employers to learn more about the program, its implementation schedule, and how to become involved.
