First comes the fun, then comes the skills. That's why PSI Tiny Tots Soccer engages children in fun games to develop their physical and social development.
The suspense is aching me!!
Congratulations to PSI's MacKenna King and Maddy Johnson on helping the Cape Breton Capers win the AUS title. Proud of the both of you!! Cape Breton beat Acadia 2-1 in the final. This is Cape Breton's first championship since 2015... A BIG shout out goes to Barrie native Lysianne Trottier who plays in goal for Cape Breton University The Capers head out to the University National Championships in Winnipeg from November 9 - 12, where the may face PSI's Kaylin Twardowski and the Guelph Gryphons Hmmmm, whom to cheer for??? Well done to all!!
Congratulations to PSI's Kaylin Twardowski on being part of the 2017 OUA Provincial Champion Guelph Gryphons !! The first ever Womens title for the University PSI Staff Coach and Father, Mark Twardowski, you must be very proud!! Big shout out to the Coaches at Guelph Gryphons for a job well done, Head Coach Shayne Campbell Assistant Coaches Al Weersink and Onkar Dhillon and last but not least Goalkeeper Coach Don Ferguson... After playing to a 1-1 tie a in regulation time, Guelph and the Western Mustangs went in to extra time. There was no score after extra time, so the game went in to a penalty shootout. Guelph Rookie Kaylin was the very first penalty taker in the shootout and for those who have been in that position before, it can be a nerve racking experience. The first penalty sets the tone for everyone else. If you score the first penalty, it puts pressure on the oppositions first shooter and relaxes your own keeper. I am happy to say, after Kaylin was waiting at the penalty spot for an eternity, (there was about 5 minutes where the officials were busy with setting the environment??) Kaylin calmly slotted the ball into the corner of the goal. Guelph GK Libby Brenneman then saved from the first Western University shooter. Tone set!! #nervesofsteel Guelph went on to win 3-0 in the shootout. Well done Ladies!! The University National Championships will take place in Winnipeg from November 9 -12
