I like big butts As my 4yr old is sitting on the toilet, she asks me, when can I have a butt like yours, (and she spreads her arms out).. That fills the whole toilet seat!? ... She’s at that stage where butts are the favourite topic of conversation.. and whoever dances with the most expressive ‘butt shakin’ gets the prize in her eyes. I don’t step on the scale often (it was a promise to myself after obsessing over the scale) Most days I feel so alive. Especially when I stick to my daily morning-mini-movement sessions and get some fresh air. On the rare occasion I put on my jeans and go into public, that’s when I start hearing those old, unsupportive whispers in my ear.. But nothing a little dancing can’t shake off. In this chapter of life, working beside @dorman.baltazar, re-creating @baltazar_wellness, it is challenging, but most of all, bursting my heart wide open. Yes, taking care of my body brings me joy. In this chapter of life (as home school teacher, entrepreneur, birth worker, partner), that joy might include a bigger butt, and jeans that don’t fit quite ‘right’. So for now, I’ll choose the leggings that allow me to stretch, move and breathe freely. Do you feel radiant today? In those moments you forget, what brings you back? #Bwell #wellness yxemom #fitmom #balance #stretch #move #breathe #meditate #yogafam

Creativity My main goal right now.. To nurture and support creativity in my children, my partner, myself, and my clients. ... It’s sometimes challenging to step outside the ‘instructions’ To build lego without the step by step guide or play piano without the app. My partner has a very active creative brain. My creativity requires a little more deep breathing and letting go to feel it and express it. The more I learn about homeschool, the more I embrace the importance of seeing things from many perspectives. I remind myself daily it’s never to late to ‘unlearn’, even though it feels daunting at times to teach an ‘old dog new tricks’. As we continue to evolve in our online offerings @webreathe_wellness, each day brings new territory, new concepts and the question to myself.. Will this help me create a beautiful impact in my children, and in the world #unschool #yxewellness #doula #mindfulness #consciousparenting #nextgeneration

Do you love getting a foot rub? Maybe the answer is no.. lol Parents can usually feel their babies response to touch and know if they love it or not. ... The feet are a great access point to helping ease many physical and emotional discomforts and worth incorporating during calm moments so it is more familiar to parents during no-so-calm moments. Parents may also find the pressure points useful in redirecting their own energy. We often want to calm a baby's crying and 'do' something. But their cries are their voice and our calm response will help them move through. My older kids still love a foot rub when they get one:) especially during this time when our hug-loving family relies on one another for touch.

The last sunset of 2020 opened the sky to the full moon that lingered till the first morning of 2021. The magnificence enveloped me with gratitude for all the students and clients who supported us this year. And those who have joined us @webreathe_wellness Thank you! I have spent a lot of the last months observing my thoughts. ... Gratitude has been my focus, yet there are days when other thoughts fog my vision. Counting is a bit of a habit (and almost comfort) for me, and sometimes, along with observing, I also find myself counting. Out of the last 10 weeks, I have seen my husband less than one week in total. Most days I am doing well, and on the days I am not as well, I count.... my exhale. I breathe in deeply, and see how long I can exhale. I don’t count the chocolates anymore. My body is pretty quick to remind me that too many don’t feel so good and I’ll eat fewer next time Just like the sun sets each night and the full moon greets us in the morning, I am reminded each day is a chance to start fresh. Each day gives me choices: how I want to guide and learn from my children, how I want to communicate with my partner (from afar), how I can connect with my students and clients in new ways, how I want to fuel my body how I want to move my body how I want to embrace the sun how I breathe And then tomorrow I get to do it New again! #grateful #yxeyoga #yxedoula #homeschool #yxeparents #breathe #getoutside #eatveggies #belove

I made them do it We haven’t had a family pic in over 3 years and we are due... so for now, this one captures this chapter of life. We had Daddy home for a short while so I wanted to make sure it happened now and not never.... Sending love to you from our family I trust you are surrounded by moments of joy and laughter that carry you through. #breathe #yxefamily #yogaparents #morelove

Ten minutes of Breath and Movement. This is what helps my body and mind to feel revived each day. I don’t get to work out like I would like to, but I find moments each day to move and it actually feels like it’s the perfect amount, even when it’s just 10 minutes. What do you do to stay focused on your health, to keep seeing the beauty in your life and the love that is within you?... I stepped away from many things in life to homeschool our kids.. but Each day, I’m still thinking of all the momma’s, many who I haven’t seen for 8 months or years. The Moms-to-be and new Moms who I got to meet through yoga. The momma’s who have met their babies for the first time since March. The momma’s who are returning to work after turning the page into a new chapter. The momma’s who were some of my first pre/postnatal students and whose ‘babies’ are tweens and entering their own journey into adulthood. I have been huddled (or rather cuddled) in my home and haven’t been reaching out much, especially now that I am ‘riding solo’ while my partner is away, helping build a new business. My focus has been on my ‘little’ people and making sure we are each nourished. Still, my heart is holding each of the parents who I’ve supported in some way. Would you share with me? Maybe a photo of your little one ? Or something you do to nourish yourself during this unusual time? I will be sharing more in the next chapter of my ‘work’ but for now, I send my love to you all #breathe #move #yxemom #yoga #prenatal #postnatal #eatwell #stretch #homeschool #doula #naturemedicine See more

Powerful women! Check out the momma on the bike! Many days I feel Done with a 3 year old attached to my hip, having carried a kiddo around many of the past 11 years. Other days, I love holding her close. These images are a sweet reminder that I will only be able to hold her while multi-tasking for a while longer. Her razor sharp nails tucked into my armpit (her security blanket).

To all the momma’s in the fresh, and often overwhelming chapter of a new baby

How did we end up together??? On this day 11 years ago, I put on a wedding dress... which was like a straight jacket with a one month old baby wanting to nurse every hour! ... It was a beautiful ceremony on one of my most loved beaches. I am a quiet spirit. My BComm was no coincidence. I like things to balance. My books and my yoga practice. He is a lover and a generous soul who can make anyone smile. He drew me in with all the qualities I had requested one day as I was writing down ‘the man I wanted to marry’ It went something like this: Believes there is a greater purpose, a God. Loves to be active Lives for the outdoors Loves dogs And ‘hot’ would be a sweet bonus! One night, we ended up the only two left after a day of yoga teacher training and decided we should keep each other company. We enjoyed a meal at Urth cafe. Within that hour he was feeding me and suggesting we would make beautiful babies together... I love how ‘We’ started. So easily. After 5 days together, we already knew. These days, We seem to disagree more than we agree. Our dreams seem to diverge somewhere in the future. Yet, where once that seemed like a problem, now feels like a (sometimes challenging) opportunity to grow as individuals. Even on the days where I wonder, How Did we end up together??, I thank God for him before I fall asleep. For the way he always puts love first, and how I get to experience the depth of that love. For the dad he is and wants to be. For the change he is in the world. we Breathe into the days that flow, to carry us through the ones that don’t. Happy 11 D! #happyanniversary #yxeparents #breathe #belizewedding #bettertogether

This woman grew me and introduced me to the world on this day, 43 years ago! Her 8th pregnancy, 6th child earthside! (9th baby that she created) With no one but a nurse by her side!... Although we didn’t talk about childbirth in our family, she didn’t give any indication that made me think childbirth was something to fear. As an adult, intrigued about the day I was born, she agreed, it wasn’t easy. She birthed in a hospital without the option for any medications and the nurse told her to ‘walk the halls’. This ‘birth walk’ is an invitation to breathe and let the baby move along with momma’s hips and dance into this world. It is a dance that mother’s learn a few steps to, but it isn’t until we hear the music that we get to know the rhythm. My intuition tells me my arrival was peaceful. Likely the seed that ignited my passion for the dance of birth. #birth #birthday #mother #birthsupport #wisdominmyblood #pregnancy #doula #yxe
