Stop scrolling and SWITCH. IT. UP. * I’ve spoken to so many people this week that are feeling stuck and a bit more sluggish than normal. There are approximately 2.6 million reasons you may be feeling this way (and they are all valid) but if you are feeling the need for a quick energy reset here are some two minute tips: * DANCE-cue up your favourite jam and dance like no one is watching (maybe they are, maybe they aren’t) ... * YELL-stand up, take a breath in a yell it out. Just one solid and powerful huhhhhhhhhh can do wonders. Try a few and gain some power as you go! (I actually do this is my car and it’s ) * DOODLE-remember when you use to draw as a kid? Get out of your head and into you’re your inner Picasso with a quick little doodle. * CONNECT-take two minutes to send a voice memo, text, call or email someone you would like to acknowledge. It doesn’t have to be long but not only will it feel good for them to receive, it’ll give you an energy boost too! * DRESS IT UPchange into your favourite outfit or rock some liptstick- whatever makes you feel great! Notice how you feel different when you are rocking something you love. * FLIP PERSPECTIVE-physically or figuratively. Handstand pro or not- try and come up with a new perspective to see your day through. One of my favourite What if it were fun and easy? * Ready? Set. RESET! Lemme know how it goes fam See more

I got 99 problems and my ovaries are one. * Guys, I try my best to be transparent and vulnerable on here but this one just hasn’t felt right for me until now. For months, I’ve been business on top with magic bag, track pants on bottom. Behind the scenes, I’ve been struggling with two massive friends hanging out on both of my ovaries that have left me a combination of exhausted, scared, super bloated and sometimes just not myself. * I’ve had all the tests and the scans and I...’m in the best hands so all good but it’s the lessons I want to post about here. I’m still in it and will try to update more as I go but here are some reminders I think are so important to share: * YOU KNOW YOUR BODY BEST. You are the only one who knows exactly how you feel so strive to be the informed patient, ask all the questions, challenge the answers and advocate for yourself. Always (always always) follow your own instincts and your gut. * ASK FOR HELP (especially if you are a health care professional!). I’ve worked with other PTs, ND’s, MDs, spiritual healers and read books, listened to podcasts. The more I feel I am taking control to help myself, the better I feel. I don’t have the answers but I am so grateful to have learned from brilliant people who do. Thanks team! * GIVE YOUR BODY WHAT IT’S ASKING FOR. I would love to claim I am crushing this one but it’s probably where I need to do the most work. I LOVE what I do but I know that sometimes what my body needs most is to simply relax, release and rest. Set projects aside, overhaul schedules and pull back from some opportunities so that your body can work its magique. * SHARE (but only when you are ready.) For me, it was starting to feel like I was hiding something from my instafam and I didn’t like how it felt. I needed some time to process and learn and feel comfortable sharing. I want to thank my girl @uplift.physio for sharing her story because in sharing her story, I was inspired to share mine. If ovaries are one of your problems too, here to chat anytime See more

I am a white woman. * The love of my life is black. My child will be black. My nieces, my nephew, my extended family, my friends, my colleagues, my clients are black. * I need to step up. I need to understand better. I need to learn more. I need to do more. I need to take continued action. I think I understand and I don’t. I just don’t.... * I need to be the change. * I see the weight, the burden, the fear and I cannot simply just wish for change. Hope is not what’s needed. * Donate, read, engage and use your voice. I’m ready and willing to hear all suggestions below. This is not the black communities burden. Let’s stand up See more

Guys, we can play again * But like, with cautionand safety first * Together we all worked so hard to flatten the curve and those efforts are really paying off! We were so happy to get the green light to resume in-person appointmentsfor clients requiring some hands on assessment and treatment... * As the restrictions are eased, please know that the health and well-being of our community is always numero uno! Stay tuned for updates on our new schedules, policies and procedures. We might look a lil different coming back but we promise we are still going to be the same amount of fun * Much love to everyone in my community for your support and understanding during this time * I will be reaching out to those on my waitlist directly in the coming days and be resuming in-person visits Monday, June 8th. * Ready? Set. Let’s Play! * #strongertogether See more
