So today we received the third animal for this week who was found stuck in a rat trap. The little skunk (right top) was found with his head stuck in a rat trap.... He was freed by an officer for the Guelph Humane Society. His neck is very sore and swollen and he is in a lot of pain. The red squirrel and the other skunk both have broken/mangled front legs to deal with after being stuck in rat traps also. People, please dont place these non-discriminatory traps outside. Removing food and shelter sources for rats is a much more effective and humane option to rid your yard of unwanted rodents.
