MCA has made it easy for me to notice that my Inner Seasons have been blending together, I haven’t felt like myself in awhile AND this isn’t just PMS. Unfortunately, it’s taken me a little long to get the courage to say it out loud...to consider that this isn’t just a funk.. the good news is I have an action plan and next steps underway. But honestly, I have a pretty fucking fantastic life. Incredible kids. A partner who is my best friend. Physical health. A roof ove...r my head. A full refrigerator. Its Summer Time for goodness sake!!! But we all know Depression is a liar. AND...This got me thinking... , , , , coping!? How does someone with less support get the courage and strength to take action? How do they fit self care and action plans and next steps for healing into their lives? . Mother and daughter pairs (or guardian and daughter). Explores: ~ themes of the moon cycle, ~ the mother/daughter bond, ~ body and anatomy celebration, ~ the initial transition towards womanhood and puberty. ~ Menarche, periods, ~ consent, intuition, ~ emotions, communication, body wisdom and meditation. These themes will be explored through group and partner activities, stories, art, creativity, hands on activities, self-reflection and open discussion. This picture (which could be mistaken for a mug shot) makes me laugh. And I can only use it for another week or so because I turn 40 in May! I would like to reintroduce myself to those who are new to finding themselves on my page. I am Nikki. I don’t feel like a Nikki, but alas this is me. I am an unschooling, stay at home Momma, hobby collector, best friend to my hubs, rookie entrepreneur, BIG FEELER, (that sounds creepy actually.) and lifelong learner of course. ... I am also an early retired teacher, who left my cushy career 8 years ago to raise my 3 daughters after the birth of my 3rd. I have explored my way in and through MANY hobbies and I am feeling very at home in my newest dream of Menstruality Mentor and founder of the Pretty River Red Tent. I teach, facilitate, inspire, and gather womb havers of all ages to discover the incredible gifts of our menstrual cycles and our cyclical nature. I truly never could have guessed I would be the lady talking about periods to anyone who would listen but I am so grateful that I am. Instead of How are you? My first question is always What cycle day are you on?. I am absolutely overflowing with purpose and passion for this work. Menstrual Cycle Awareness is my compass, my map, my language. At the Pretty River Red Tent, (which is a beautiful Geodome on my property) I host in-person moon circles, Menstrual Cycle Awareness workshops and courses for womb havers, Mother daughter workshops and courses, and even workshops for partners of menstruators. I also offer an Online Cycle Conscious Course (that is open for registration right now!). And I plan to evolve my online offerings with more courses in the future. I also provide Self Care and educational kits and products for periods, menarche (first bleeds) and education around Menstrual Cycle Awareness.
