At the beginning of my carpentry career I wondered how people could move such heavy things without unloading them. As they say, with age comes wisdom. With the right tool anything is possible. This is one of those tools!

For those of you interested, this is dry rot in a floor joist. It cannot be salvaged especially when it is used for structural. This particular problem has caused the floor above to drop an inch so far and will continue until it is replaced

Surprise! Guess what was hidden in the drywall. I don’t think I have run across this before and hope to never see it again. These are surprise shocks for any renovator removing drywall.

Finally a nice day out. Seems like forever. Even have an audience for cutting outside.
