Many have asked where we stand in relation to our fundraising and the amount needed to purchase the theatre. We have a big ask with the Community Forest for support in the purchase of the theatre we hope to hear back from them in May sometime. We also have as close to confirmation as we can get at the moment, that if we have that funding in place, the FCU will approve us to carry the mortgage. Regarding funds raised from the community since we began with our Patch the Roof ...campaign in the fall of 2019, more than $50,000 dollars has been donated. This is amazing! The people of Powell River and points beyond really love the historic Patricia Theatre and want to see it continue. Thank you everyone for all your help. There are lots of challenges ahead in restoring and maintaining a heritage building like the Pat, and the Powell River Film Society wants you to know that we are doing everything we can to weather this storm and preserve this jewel for generations to come. Every donation counts! See more

We've got you covered! With the latest Covid-19 restrictions in BC, we are planning ahead to make sure you can still view the film festival no matter what.
