Pride Cape Breton Society will be hosting out Annual General Meeting on May 14th, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. Please share this event with your friends so that we can have as much community involvement is possible. As some of you know, last year at the AGM we put forward a motion to change the date of our AGM from May to October. This will make more sense for the board as we will be able to continue our work year round without having to change board members right before Pride Week. ... We were unable to vote on this last year due to not enough attendance so we are hoping that our community will support this decision this year. As we did not have enough votes for quorum at our last AGM to vote members in, all of the positions on the board are up for election. The majority of the board has continued their positions as Interim Directors and some are looking to be elected again this year. The positions on our board include the following: Co-Chair (2 positions) Director of Festival Director of Events Director of Communications Director of Education & Advocacy Treasurer Member at Large The positions will definite vacancies on the board are the following: Director of Events Treasurer If you wish to run for any of the positions on the board please contact us and provide a description of why you would be a good fit to join the board and we will announce your nomination in advance. We will also take nominations from the floor at the time of the AGM.
