I'm raising money for individuals living with disabilities. I'm supporting an awesome charity called Achievement Centers for Children in Columbus Ohio. They've been around since the 1940s and have excellent charity ratings. The powerful leadership group that is working with me on this fundraiser got to meet with one of the charity's leaders last night. What I heard was super impressive. They run an amazing autism school K-11. They have Camp Cheerful, 52 acres of summer... fun tailored to create a great experience for the kids they serve. They offer social emotional programs, speech therapy, physical therapy, therapeutic horsemanship (awesome). And a lot more. 97% of their participants achieve or partially achieve their goals each year, which I thought was particularly cool. It does make a difference. There are people in this world who do not receive enough recognition. And some of these people are the first to arrive and provide assistance at the scene of an emergency. It's those who put their lives on the line for us when there is danger. It's those who work 40 plus hours a week, are on night shifts, or have to be on call.... It's those who have to miss anniversaries, birthdays and other special holidays to help someone in need. It's those who ensure the safety and well-being of the population.
