Many patients have asked about the paintings in our clinic and the artist behind them. Here is a mini spotlight on the artist, Debby Merkel, and a link to her website with her colourful works of art. Heres Debby in a nutshell- I am a Kelowna artist and have been painting for eight years. Ordinarily I paint treescapes and have recently begun experimenting with abstract.... The joy in creating an abstract is the surprise that results when it all comes together. Your senses are ignited! Its always fascinating to look at the creation on canvas. Turn it! Flip it! Discuss it! Have fun with it! Discover something new with each move. Viewing an abstract is an individual experience stirred by shapes, colours, emotions and memories. When someone tells me that a piece of art "calls" to them, it really excites me. I warmly invite you to visit my website and discover art that "calls" to you!! See you soon! Thanks so much! From time to time we will be featuring some of the many talents of our patients. Whether artistic, athletic, or professional in nature, all of these people have worked extremely hard to overcome injuries, and get back to their prime. Thought we would pass on this great email of one of our patients who excels in competitive horse jumping- 17 year old, Megan Dalton. "Hey Prime!- Back in May, My horse (Que Linda) and I competed in the 1.0m high divisions and received numerous ri...bbons (against the professionals), and we also received first place in the Good Hands and Seat Medal- which was probably the highlight of the show for me. This also qualified me for the Good Hands and Seat finals at the end of the summer. Not only did I get to ride, but I also got to show my support as a "Just World" ambassador. Me and a few others participated in fundraisers to raise money for children in Cambodia, Guatemala, and Honduras to give them a better education, health care, housing, and food. In June, we competed again in Vancouver and I won all 4 of my classes in the 15-17 equitation, which gave me the top points in my division to put me in champion in my division!!! Thanks again Joel and crew for helping me to straighten out my body and get into the condition that I need to be for this show season! Ill probably be seeing you soon (I keep on injuring myself..) " -Megan Dalton

Prime had a staff outing at Exit Kelowna. We decided to jump head first in and tackle the hardest one (Mannequins ) and destroyed it with 2.5 minutes left! What a rush!-Way to go team! Exit Kelowna states less than 1% get out, and without bragging I would imagine its less for this doozy of a challenge! Can you do it!? Challenge given.
