Wearing a mask is a critical step to avoid spread of COVID-19. I implore each of my patients to wear a mask when you might be in within 6 feet of others (for example grocery shopping). It does not need to be a medical grade mask; a cloth mask will suffice. If you are going for a walk and can keep at least 6 feet of distance from others then a mask is not necessary. We have been relatively under affected by this virus in our community however that can quickly change if we let our collective guard down. Enjoy your Sunday!

In light of the current Coronavirus pandemic I have moved all appointments to telephone sessions. This is to limit the number of people coming to my office such that you do not wait beside someone who may unknowingly have the Coronavirus. It is critical that all Canadians practice social distancing so that we slow down the rate of spread. Hospitals routinely run at capacity and will not be able to properly care for a large influx of patients. Our best defence is to limit the ...spread of the virus. Public health is a great resource and can help decide who needs viral testing. If you are ill, please self isolate. If your symptoms are severe and you require emergency care, let the 911 service know about your symptoms so that the paramedics can protect themselves adequately.

If you have a cough and fever, and if you or someone close to you has recently travelled to China, PLEASE alert the clinic staff when you call for an appt and when you go to the clinic. This will help the staff to do the right things to care for you and for the other people in the clinic at the time.

We would like to thank all of the patients who have applied to the waiting list. Please note that we are still in the process of calling patients who have applied. We book new patient appointments 1-2 weeks from the present date as we need to leave space in the schedule for follow up appointments. Anyone who has not yet applied to the waiting list can still feel free to do so at www.primemedical.ca. Applying does not guarantee that I will be able to see you as a patient if we reach full capacity. It will likely take a few more months before we are full. Thank you for your patience and have a happy and safe new year.

Once we have reached full capacity, we will post an update here and on our website. To provide the best quality of care, Dr. Ferlisi will only accept a limited number of patients. Joining this waiting list does not guarantee that Dr. Ferlisi will be able to take you on as a patient.
