Steelhead season is in full swing folks. Double digit days are the norm right now!!!!! Summer and fall fish on flies and light tackle. Over the past two days of fishing we've experienced incredible numbers of fish. Amazing!!!!!

Steelhead Season Kickoff!

Fall is one of our favorite times on Vancouver Island. The rivers are full of salmon, trout, and steelhead, and adventure awaits around every corner!

The bite is on in Tofino folks!!! Absolutely fantastic fishing for salmon and halibut going on. Fast limits, and wonderful quality - it doesn't get any better than this!!!

Incredible fishing this season!!! The bite just keeps getting better and better out there folks!

GIANT BLUEFIN DATES SEPT 6 - 9th 2015 NOVA SCOTIA We just had an unexpected cancellation for our otherwise SOLD OUT 2015 giant bluefin tuna season in Nova Scotia. The fishing dates are Sept 6-9 and your travel dates would be Sept 5th and 10th in and out of Halifax, Nova Scotia. First saltwater charter of the season today and limits of chinooks! Loads of bait offshore and excellent action by anyone's standards, never mind that it's only March! Tired of the crowds on your local rivers?!?! Our helicopter trips access systems that are full of wild, aggressive steelhead and no crowds. Santa brought us along for a little helicopter trout fishing this christmas. Andrea showed the boys a thing or two about mid-winter wild rainbow trout fishing. Special thanks to Atleo Air and elves Andrea, Jason, Kalum and Soleille.

Deer season has drawn to a close and the freezers are bursting with stores for the winter. For the first time in 14 years we are anxiously looking forward to a winter steelheading season!!! The spey rods will still get some use between now and March, but we figured we should dust off the old drift gear just in case. Bring on the Vancouver Island steel!

The 2530XL Parker will be receiving some serious upgrades from 3 Rivers including a 2nd steering station on the aft cabin bulkhead, a Yamaha power upgrade, and a brand new marine electronics package from Raymarine. 2012 NOVA SCOTIA GIANT BLUEFIN TUNA SEASON WRAP-UP Well it looks as though our remarkable 2012 Giant Bluefin tuna season here in Nova Scotia, Canada is finally coming to an end (insert sad face and kicking a dock cleat here). The little man on my shoulder is about to throw a temper tantrum, and it appears i'm going to have to drag him kicking and screaming all the way to Cabo San Lucas for Bisbee's next week. Well little man, i feel your pain and heartache. It will be hard t...o duplicate the chemistry, success, and countless memories we've accumulated up here this season. But I assure you that we will try next year, and every year thereafter!!! I cannot thank Capt's Robert Boyd and Mark Boyd, or their support staff (read real brains behind the operation) Sonya L Boyd and Colleen Frances Boyd, enough for all of their amazing hard work and dedication. In our first season together we have succeeded in building a team that has produced unparalleled results, and I cannot emphasize how much I am looking forward to the many, many seasons we will share together in the years to come. Special thanks as well to Andrea McQuade for her tireless efforts both on and off the water. As with any successful endeavour, there is usually a very competent and hard working woman behind it. Your abilities continue to impress those around you, and after watching you wire giants this season I will say proudly that there is nothing you aren't capable of. Finally, last but certainly not least, a heartfelt and grateful THANK YOU to all of our wonderful clients (read FRIENDS!) who fished with us this season. While we all love to catch big fish, it's the relationships and memories we develop with all of you that we cherish most in this business.
