Today we want to highlight the extraordinary work done by Gateway Regional Victim Services. PASAC works closely with this amazing team often. Whenever the RCMP ...is involved, you may encounter these ladies. This is a little bit about them and we thank them for everything they do! Gateway Regional Victim Services is a non-profit organization working in partnership with the RCMP, Ministry of Justice and the Saskatchewan Health Authority. Our service area includes the following RCMP detachments and their service areas; Big River, Blaine Lake, Green Lake, Loon Lake, Meadow Lake, Pierceland, Prince Albert (Rural), Rosthern, Shellbrook/Ahtahkakoop, Spiritwood and Wakaw. Victim Services was established to provide victims of crime and traumatic events with support, referrals to community agencies and information about the Criminal Justice System. Our staff can assist clients with Victim Impact Statements, Restitution, Victims Compensation, Court Preparation, Accompaniment and Support. In September 2019 we introduced Quinn to our organization; he is an Accredited Facility Dog that also provides support to our clients. Our staff consists of a Coordinator, 3 Assistant Coordinators, an Assistant Coordinator/Facility Dog Handler and an Administrative Assistant. We also have several compassionate volunteers throughout our service area who are available to assist those in need. Our team is here for you! #pasac #webelieveinyou #iaskforconsent #justbecause

The latin phrase "Ne Varietur" appears on many Masonic patents and certificates, like those that are given when a man joins the organization. Translated, "Ne Va...rietur" means "Lest it should be changed." This refers to the custom of having the recipient sign the document immediately in front of his Brothers. Then, should someone try to illicitly pass the document off as their own, the legitimacy could be verified by making the imposter sign something and comparing the signatures. It was a very early (and rudimentary) way of detecting Masonic charlatans. (Source: A Lexicon of Freemasonry, Mackey) See more

Laura Ingalls Wilder is probably best known as the author of the book series "Little House on the Prairie." Her family was also well known in Masonic circles of... the day. In fact, the character of "Pa" in her books is based on her own father, Bro. Charles Ingalls (later portrayed by Michael Landon in the famous television series.) Freemasonry was a family activity for the Wilder's, with Laura serving her Eastern Star Chapter as Worthy Matron no less than three times!
