Prince Albert Fire Department / PA Alert 30.06.2021

On May 11, 2021 at 12:40 a.m., the Prince Albert Fire Department responded to the 2100 block of 6th Avenue West to assist a person who had fallen down and needed assistance getting back up. Fire crews arrived on scene and assisted the person back into bed. Firefighters assessed the patient and determined that no additional care was required. No injuries to report.

On May 10, 2021 at 9:50 p.m., the Prince Albert Fire Department responded to a grass fire in the 800 block of the River Street West next to the boat house. Firefighters extinguished a grass fire which burnt under the dock. Some damage occurred to the underside of the dock. No injuries to report.

On May 10, 2021 at 8:58 p.m., the Prince Albert Fire Department responded to a grass fire along the drainage ditch by sewage treatment plant. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire before it could reach some nearby brush. No damage or injuries to report.

On May 10, 2021 at approximately 7:39 p.m., the Prince Albert Fire Department responded to a carbon monoxide alarm in the 900 block of Albright Crescent. After an investigation it was determined that there was no CO in the structure. No damage or injuries to report.

On May 9, 2021 at 9:55 p.m., the Prince Albert Fire Department responded to a grass fire in the 200 Block of 24th Street East. Fire fighters found a small burnt area that had been extinguished. No damage to report.

On October 15, 2020 at 12:20 A.M., the Prince Albert Fire Department responded to a grass fire in the back alley of the 200 Block of 25 Street West. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire. No injuries to report.

On October 14, 2020 at 11:00 P.M., PAFD responded to the 3300 block of 6th Avenue West for a MVC. Fire Crews arrived on scene and found two vehicles involved, both vehicles sustained extensive damage and were towed from scene. Firefighters cleaned debris and fluids from the street. There were no injuries reported.

On October 14, 2020 at 6:45 P.M., the PAFD responded 10 kilometers South on Highway 11 for a vehicle fire. Fire Crews arrived on scene and found a fully involved vehicle on the side of the highway. Firefighters quickly knocked down the fire. The vehicle sustained substantial damage, and the cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.

On October 14, 2020 at 8:00 A.M., PAFD responded to the 300 block of 22nd Street East for reports of a garbage fire. On arrival crews found a smoldering bag of grass clippings. The bag was extinguished. There was no damage to report.

On October 13, 2020 at 9:08 P.M., the Prince Albert Fire Department responded to the 2800 block of 2nd Avenue West for a garbage bin fire. Fire crews extinguished the fire which was confined to the container. No damages to report.

On October 13, 2020 at approximately 5:49 P.M., the Prince Albert Fire Department responded to a report of fire alarms ringing in the 900 block of King Place. On arrival a resident of the home was present. There was an accidental activation of the smoke alarm, no emergency existed.

On October 13, 2020 at 9:56 A.M., the Prince Albert Fire Department was dispatched to the 300 Block of 14th Street West for alarms ringing. On arrival crews were met by the maintenance person who directed us to an air handling unit. Upon further investigation no emergency was found, previous maintenance had accidentally set off the detector.

On October 13, 2020 at approx. 3:34 A.M., PAFD crews responded to reports of fire alarms ringing at Riverside School. Upon arrival, audible alarms could be heard going off in the building. Upon entry and investigation, it was found that a small water supply line to the fire pump sprinkler system in the building had broken and caused the building to go into alarm. A small amount of water was found on the floor in the mechanical room. Crews managed to isolate the source of the water and reset the alarm system.

On October 12, 2020 at approximately 10:00 P.M., PAFD was called to the 1000 Block of 3rd Street East for a tree on fire. Upon arrival and investigation it was found that an unapproved and unattended fire pit had caught some trees on fire. PAFD members quickly contained the fire from spreading to a nearby fence and deck. There was no other damage or injuries as a result.

On October 12, 2020 at approximately 1:32 P.M., the Prince Albert Fire Department responded to a report of fire alarms ringing at the unit block of Betz Place. On arrival there was nothing showing from the exterior. Investigation determined that there had been a small cooking incident that triggered the smoke detector. There were no injuries or damage.

October 12, 2020 at 9:48 A.M., the Prince Albert Fire Department responded to the alley in the 600 block of 23rd Street West for a bag of leaves on fire. On arrival there was smoke in the area. Crews found a bag of leaves smoldering. The fire was extinguished quickly, containing the damage to the bag of leaves, and preventing damage to surrounding property.

On October 12th, 2020 at 8:44 A.M., the Prince Albert Fire Department responded for a report of alarms ringing in 3000 block of Sherman Drive. There was a small cooking incident that activated the smoke detector. No services were required and there were no injuries.
