I've worked extremely hard on creating this large custom plate rack I designed for Princess Cottage, as it matches the exterior verge boards( the beautiful ginger bread in gable roofs and porches) . From researching the many historic designs in verge board patterns located in the 1000 Islands region on many historic cottages, to designing, laying out, drawing, and cutting out a very large plate rack to hold a massive amount of dishes. This is created from old growth wood salv...aged from old homes, that was air dried for several years, and sourced locally. As a Restorer I only use non toxic, preservative, real linseed oil paint as well. This large plate rack can safely air dry a dozen place settings. I'm positioning it over my historic 5 foot long cast iron double sink with double drain boards. I look forward to creating custom plate racks, of any design, historic or modern, large or small, for any discerning clients home or cottage.
