Dear PRiS Members, The Peace Region Internet Society is holding its 2020 Annual General Meeting on October 17, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. While this meeting has been traditionally hosted at our Dawson Creek office, this year, in keeping with the current recommendations from the BC Ministry of Health, it will be held virtually online through Zoom (Meeting login information to follow) Nothing about this operating year has been typical, and the reality of working and living in this pande...mic has changed the ways we obtain entertainment and services online. With this change comes the increased demand for reliable high-speed internet. Nominations for Director positions will be accepted during the virtual AGM, and PRiS would like to continue moving forward with a full board complement of 12 members. **UPDATE** Power has been restored and all services are back online. If you're unable to get online, please try power cycling your equipment or give us a call @ 1-800-768-3311. Thank you! ----... Due to multiple power outages related to the current weather, we are experiencing issues throughout the areas of Chetwynd and Dawson Creek. BC Hydro has identified the outages and is actively working on restoring services to the areas. All PRiS internet services should be back online once the power has been restored.

The Internet does not run itself, ya know... It may seem frivolous to be thinking about Internet connectivity at these challenging times. Today, many of ...us are isolated not only by health concerns, but also by cold and heavy snow drifts. Yet it is now, more that ever, that we can appreciate the access to health information, economic assistance programs, and most important, the social contact with others, that PRiS services provide us. Dear Members, The Peace Region Internet Society is taking precautions to avoid the spread of COVID-19 and to ensure uninterrupted services for our members. As a means of minimizing public contact, we are encouraging members to take advantage of online tools to manage their PRiS services. If you wish to pay your PRiS statement, you can do so using the online services provided by your bank or credit union. Feel free to give our office a call if you require assistance with se...tting up online payments. For those members that require technical support, we can be reached via telephone or email during our regular business hours. Please refrain from bringing your devices into our offices. We have multiple tools available for aiding our members and we can solve the vast majority of Internet and Email issues remotely. The PRiS Board of Directors is currently evaluating several different options to help support our members who are affected by COVID-19.
