On behalf of the Privateer Days Commission, I am sorry to have to announce the cancellation of Privateer Days 2020. With Dr. Strang’s report on Tuesday of several months before there will be any loosening of restrictions on large gatherings and physical distancing, and the safety of our volunteers, participants and attendees being of the utmost importance to us, we feel it’s best to wait until June 2021 to celebrate our annual festival. We will come back bigger and better next year. Our hope is everyone is staying safe and healthy during these unprecedented times. Stay home, stay safe and we will see you all in 2021!! Terrena Parnell Chair Privateer Days Commission

Now that Nova Scotia looks to be on the road to eventual re-opening, Privateer Days wants to know - what are YOU planning to do this summer? Any traveling (even inside the province?)
Just a reminder, to stay safe and healthy!!!
We are watching the news closely in the wake of the COVID-19 virus pandemic. There are a lot of closures, postponements and cancellations being announced. Since the Privateer Days Weekend festival isn’t being held until June 26-28, 2020, we are going ahead with planning our event. We will keep a close eye on the news and reassess the situation at the end of April. The safety and health of our participants, volunteers and visitors is our main priority and will be at the forefront of any decisions we make going forward. For the time being it’s planning as usual. Everyone stay safe and healthy. Terrena Parnell, Chair, Privateer Days Commission

We at Privateer Days Commission are interested in your ideas, and opinions. So today we are asking YOU, who do you think would be a great parade marshal, and why for the festival?
The music lineup for this year's Privateer Days Festival is coming together. Confirmed so far are: Amy Grant and Tim Whynot, Still Fired Band, Saltwater Cowboys, Darren Arsenault, and Autumn Carver.
