With over 10 years... experience coaching, teaching and leading kids programs, Emerson is dedicated to making your child's fitness regime fun, exciting and challenging enough to ensure everyone gets in a good sweat. Emerson has designed a safe, fun and effective 6 week exercise program for kids 6-12 years of age. Our sessions are 30 min long, don't require any equipment and can be completed in a space as little as 6x4 feet. Prices are per household. Come join in on the fun. Two sessions weekly and a new class every time. Access our classes live on any device...if your child misses a class it will be recorded for them to watch later. Let's get moving together! Spiced Tilapia For the Spice Mix 1 tablespoon ground turmeric teaspoon ground cinnamon teaspoon ground ginger pinch of ground nutmeg... teaspoon sea salt teaspoon black pepper . For the Tilapia 4 (6-oz) Tilapia Fillets 2 tablespoons coconut oil, divided cup fresh cilantro 1 red bell pepper, seeded and cut into matchsticks cup Unsweetened Coconut Flakes . Instructions 1. For the spice mixture: Combine all the spice mixture ingredients in a small dish. 2. For the tilapia: Rub the spice mixture all over the tilapia fillets. 3. Heat 1 tablespoon of the coconut oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook two of the fillets until golden and flaky, about 3 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and repeat with the remaining 1 tablespoon coconut oil and the remaining two fillets. 4. Top with the cilantro, bell pepper, and coconut. Serve immediately and enjoy! . Your posture has a VERY powerful impact on how you act and feel how deeply you breathe, your energy levels, and believe it or not.. even your level of confidence! (and the list goes on.) This week, we’re going to hone in on our posture and pay attention to any bad habits we’ve picked up over the years. When you were a teenager, did you have a helpful adult constantly nagging at you to stand up or sit up straight? Well as adults, we might need that helpful voice even mo...re! Pretty much everything we do (from sitting at the computer, to driving in a car) works AGAINST us when it comes to having good posture - if we’re not VERY careful. It’s too easy to lose focus on your posture. and before you know it, your shoulders start rounding forward, your lower back starts to ache, and your hips start to get tight. Nothing positive can ever come out of this. When circulation is decreased, you start to experience back and neck pain and lose the ability to stay focused and motivated. You’ll experience higher levels of stress, your mood will be negatively affected, digestion will suffer. and the list goes on and on. Try this: Good posture means that you stand with your feet hip-width apart, knees slightly bent, pelvis in neutral position i.e., neither pushing front nor back. Your core should be gently braced, with your chest tall and your shoulders slightly back, chin in neutral position (not jutting your chin forward). Pretty much everything we do (from sitting at the computer to driving in a car) works AGAINST us when it comes to having good posture - if we’re not VERY careful. How did you do? It’s trickier than you think! If you have an imbalance, it can be really hard to get everything all lined up the way it is supposed to be changing one part of the equation can throw off the others. Getting it right can require time, paying ATTENTION to your posture, and patience. So, your challenge this week is to work to improve your posture! ----> How about this: Whenever you CHECK THE TIME, do a quick posture check. What do you think!? :-) Are you in? Happy Thursday! It's the Bootcamp Master Emerson here! NEW STUDIO COMING IN HOT! We've receivedcountless messages of support over the past few months about us moving on from our current space. It's no secret that we are moving on from 112 Melville Street. From our humble beginnings9 years ago hosting classes out of the back of my mom's van, to renting out school gyms thenmoving to our 1700 square foot studio it's been quite the journey...... We are unbelievably excited about the new chapter in our journey and we are incredibly grateful for your love and support. It wasn't our plan to move this year but we have definitelyfound the PERFECT long-term space for us! A little push is all we needed. If you've been following along with our social media posts.... We've been releasing clues every day (#pathtoproactive) that led you closer and closer to our front door... Some of you guessed right! NEW STUDIO is located at15 Wellington Street Cambridge!We are hard at work renovating, and setting up space so it's ready for the new year. The Studio will be 90% complete by the end of the year and we will be ready to start workouts there by January! Top of Dickson street you will see a large church building formally called the first united church. We will be inside the heritage building that is attached to the church. We are joining forces with the lovely Autumn of One movement Dance Centre we will be occupying the first floor and she is already occupying the second and third floors. Together we will be offering the ultimate community experience! 15 Wellington is turning into a community hub that is going to foster creativity, health and wellness, community, and fun! Thank you all for your love and support. The best is yet to come!
