Its Finally here!!! ETC Introduces Source 4WRD Color Introducing the new Source 4WRD Color, which transforms full-sized tungsten Source Four ellipsoidal/profile fixtures into RGBA LED fixtures. This new LED engine provides a non-destructive method for venues to upgrade their rig to the benefits of color-changing LEDs with an affordable solution from ETC. The public-facing product launch is scheduled for Tuesday, September 15. We anticipate shipping UL Listed versions in early... October, with CE Listed fixtures arriving a few weeks later. Pricing is available from a Production Lighting sales person and orders are being accepted now. The Source 4WRD Color meets or exceeds the output of common 575 W incandescent fixtures in many saturated colors like blues or magentas and even some pastels. Updating a fixture to the Source 4WRD Color is very similar to the process for the white-light Source 4WRD, with one added step: adding a beam homogenizer to the front of the reflector to help smooth the colors in the beam and avoid multi-colored shadows. The entire process takes only a few minutes. The Source 4WRD Color family also includes two wash light fixtures: The Source 4WRD Color PAR and PARNel. These luminaires incorporate the Source 4WRD Color LED engine into a custom housing, offering economical color washes, including zoom on the PARNel version. As with Source 4WRD II, dealers order the Source 4WRD Color retrofit and the PAR or PARNel fixture bodies separately to create these fixtures.
