Congratulations to all my students who participated in the OMFA Provincial Music Festival - I'm so proud of all of you!
Congratulations to Pamela Chu on winning the Company Of Musical Theatre - Senior Trophy in the Ottawa Kiwanis Music Festival! A very much deserved reward for al...l the hard work she has put into her singing over the past few years! Pamela also placed second in her Classical Voice entry. Congratulations also go out to Ryan Herman & Anastasio Deller-Siguenza, who each placed in their respective Musical Theatre classes! Bravi tutti! And last but not least, many thanks to my dear friend and studio collaborator Larry Tarof for his invaluable contributions to the success of these and all my music theatre students!
Congratulations to all of my students who participated in this year's virtual Ottawa Kiwanis Music Festival! Everyone did very fine performances, had great comm...ents in their adjudications, and I think all enjoyed the experience! Maybe not as much as if the Festival had been live, but in the end I think they all would agree that it was still a rewarding experience. I couldn't be prouder of all my students, including those who didn't participate in Kiwanis And congratulations again to trophy winners Sherrie Ann Spelchuk (Ottawa Choral Society Trophy), Pamela Chu (Company Of Musical Theatre - Senior Trophy), and Sam Robinson (W.H. Scrivens Trophy). Finally, a huge thank you to our collaborative pianists Joanne Moorcroft & Larry Tarof for their invaluable contributions to the success of these students!
Congratulations to Senior Voice students Sherrie Ann Spelchuk on winning the Ottawa Choral Society Trophy and Sam Robinson on winning the W.H. Scrivens Trophy at the 2020 Ottawa Kiwanis Music Festival! This marks the first time that our studio has won both trophies in the same year, and I couldn't be prouder of the achievements of these two fine, hard-working young artists! And of course, many thanks to my friend, the wonderful Joanne Moorcroft, who as coach and collaborator contributes so much to the development of young singers in the Capital Region, including those in my studio!
Recorded in 2002, the final encore on my first major solo concert following my heart transplant.
