This poor whale. Roped down again. But it’s coming along. Patience is not one of my strong suits but I have to try to be in this case. This is why I always have a few different things on the go in the studio at the same time.

Oh the things that get rigged up in my studio. Just about finished this whaleship. Here I was attaching the nose piece but wasn’t able to solder. Jb weld it is then. Have to find the right balance point to keep it upright and the plastic tape is used where I can’t clamp things. It’s getting there.

Working on a whaleship commission. Sometimes solder is not the answer and good old e600 is. The plastic tape was a great find to help ‘clamp’ things down that you can’t really fit a clamp on. And then of course the red clamps holding down some other bits till the glue cures. Some days it’s a slow process so I usually work on a few things at the same time
