Do you feel lucky??

On February 23, three of our members spent some time preparing a two bedroom suite for a Mom and her son who are moving into Sonshine Centre on March 1. Debbie ...Taylor, Danielle Cadieux and Myra Skerrett had fun putting sheets and blankets on the beds, stocking the kitchen cupboards, putting fresh towels and toiletries in the bathroom, and filling the boy’s new room with toys. Our club sponsors three suites in Sonshine Centre, and our members were so pleased to prepare one of our suites, 205, for this new family. We wish this Mom and her son comfort, love and strength over the coming year while they work to rebuild their lives free from violence and fear. Canadian Progress Club Calgary City Centre has actively and lovingly supported Sonshine Community Services since 2007. This year 2021-2022 marks our 15th year of partnership with Sonshine, and with an upcoming commitment of $35,000 this year, our women’s club will have provided approximately $550,000 of financial support and countless volunteer hours. We are so very proud to work with this amazing organization, which continues to provide healing, hope and a bright future for so many families.
