Without the support of Quest for Gold, I would not be where I am today". Do you think the #Ontario #government is doing enough to support parasport athletes? How can the government provide better support? #inclusion #participation #accessibility #disabilities #parasport #physicalActivity #research #joinTheConversation #projectEchohttps://theechoproject.org/forum/58/127g (Link in BIO)

Mental Health Day was only a few days ago, but the importance of advocating for mental health is an everyday task. Research has shown that physical activity has a positive impact on mental health, therefore increasing accessibility to physical activity for all is equally as important. Major sport events often claim to increase sport participation, but the research doesn't confirm that. Do you believe having games in your city HAS or WILL improve access to sport participation for all? #hamilton2026 #Birmingham2022 #accessibility #inclusion #participation #projectecho talk to us at https://theechoproject.org/forum/58/73

There is a lot of literature to either advocate for and reject the claims of legacy and leveraging successes of major sporting games. Teddy's article draws from the Toronto Pan Am Games to give an example of how a successful Games legacy can provide tangible long lasting solutions to the inequalities faced by marginalized communities. Do you agree that the same benefits could be experienced by Hamilton residents? Do you agree that the 2026 Commonwealth Games, could be a solution for Hamilton's high unemployment, accessibility issues, and reconciliation with First Nations People? We encourage debate and a variety of opinions on this matter. Ultimately it is your voice that should have the most weight, go to https://theechoproject.org/ to lend your voice. Read Teddy Katz's article here: https://hamilton2026.ca/teddy-katz/
