In 2016 we were hired to design both the front and back landscape to compliment this beautiful stone home with timber features. We created an entrance with a subtle impact edging the walkway with natural stone walls to contain the gardens. With the driveway being an odd shape, the division helped frame the front and separate the two hardscapes. A large side walkway opens into the backyard firepit area and looks onto a large timber frame structure.

Pro-Land was hired to manage and construct this secluded backyard space in the core of Toronto. Working in conjunction with multiple trades and Eden Tree Design Inc., we were able to create this modern space, utilizing every corner of the property to it's fullest potential.

This large property was a blank canvas when Pro-Land was hired to complete the design and build for this backyard retreat. Initially, the clients had just wanted a small outdoor space with a kitchen and a cabana with a fireplace. As the design progressed things changed; a secondary covered structure was added to the kitchen, and the patio was expanded to include a concrete pool. The natural stone fireplace in the cabana is a focal piece in this backyard. The wood and natural ...stone along with a crackling fire create a comfortable and cozy space to relax on those cooler summer nights. Raised planter boxes frame the path to the pool, separating the spaces while creating a cohesive feel through the use of materials. Truly an entertainers paradise, the yard features a gunnite pool complete with hot tub and tanning deck, a covered outdoor kitchen & bar, custom wood burning fireplace, and modern cabana finished with automatic roller screens, and sliding glass doors. The homeowners of this King City property came to Pro-Land with a blank canvas and big ideas. The size and depth of the yard provided the space for all the clients wants and needs to be met. We created an indoor-outdoor living space that has it's own kitchen and bathroom for people enjoying the pool. For people wanting to stay dry, directly off the house there is a second kitchen with a built in bbq and pizza oven. Feature walls, firepit, water feature and a custom designed outdoor shower are finished in natural stone creating a cohesive look in such a large space.

This full property landscape design and build presented Pro-Land with the opportunity to creatively work with existing grades, while considering restrictions of abutting conservation authorities. Keeping this in mind we were able to optimize the views of the greenery around the property, while creating functional entertainment spaces. The goal in the backyard was to create various spaces for entertaining, without sacrificing areas for their children to play. The size of their yard made accommodating their wishes fairly easy. A sports court, pool, water feature, cabana and outdoor kitchen ensured these homeowners don't have to go far for their next vacation.

The clients were updating the interior of their home when they hired us to start their design. They wanted a contemporary look with a monochromatic colour scheme and dark accents to make a statement. The pool was the feature of the space, which was centered on the house so from the inside looking out, you'd see the bright blue water. Surrounding the pool we created space for an outdoor kitchen, dining, water feature and a deck/lounge space. The deck was constructed in the corner of the lot to break up the interlock, privacy screens anchor the space and give it a feeling of intimacy.

This property in Rosedale was completed in phases over a three year period. Many quality professionals were involved in the planning and construction of this project. Pro-Land was given the opportunity to design and install phase one of this property in 2014. This included the main patio, deck, feature walls, planting beds and outdoor kitchen space. The homeowner then reached out to Janet Rosenbery & Studios in 2016 to complete a Garden Renovation, which included a new pool, ...a spa, green house and perimeter planting design. Pro-Land began the construction of phase two in 2016 and completed work in 2017. Finally, the homeowner brought her own expertise in design to contribute to the overall composition of the space. A true collaborative effort from many talented professionals made this project a success. Pro-Land designed and constructed this double entrance driveway, creating a grand statement and some major curb appeal for this home. A large heated concrete driveway has plenty of room for cars to park while still allowing others to drive past. Gardens full of green and white perennials and shrubs are a classic colour scheme and look great throughout every season. Natural stone pillars and walls flank each side of the driveway, allowing the entrance to be closed by iron gates when the client wants. Lastly, natural stone walls on either side of the front porch tie everything together and add some extra character to the house.

The client's wanted a large upper deck for dining and lounge but didn't want the space below to go to waste. Pro-Land designed the deck to be constructed with a rain escape system, creating a water proof entertainment space below. Because the client's could use this space rain or shine and its close proximity to the new pool, this became our focus. Extra dining and lounge space is accompanied by a fire feature, tv wall, and outdoor kitchen. The space looks out onto the pool patio, which has ample room for any amount of friends the kids want to bring over. Being in a new development, the clients wanted to ensure there was privacy added to the space. Pyramidal trees will grow lean and tall to block any views from the neighbours. But, until then, privacy screens are placed along the property, one even doubling as a shower.

The client's hired us with a long list of ideas and they were eager to see their visions come to life. With some existing features on site like the upper deck and pool, our job was to update what was existing, and add elements surrounding these spaces. The client's imagined the space to be functional for their family and friends but also wanted to be able to hold large events. A large turf area was designed at the back of the yard creating ample amounts of space for any table...s and chairs that needed to be set up for parties. A walkway connecting the upper patio and turf was added, along with a firepit space, privacy screens and extensive planting. A lot of focus was on the plant selection, with there being so many gardens we wanted to make sure the plant material looked clean while still offering some interest at all points of the season. Update on this project at the National Golf Course. We're close to the finish line on this one and can't wait to have all the finishing touches complete so we can get the plants in.

Had the opportunity to attend the Landscape Ontario Awards last night. It was great to see such creative work being done throughout our industry. We also took home 2 design and 3 construction awards!

This family wanted to create a functional space in their smaller backyard. Our challenge was to create a space that still felt spacious but was functional for their lifestyle. Their pool patio has enough room for loungers and space for kids to jump into the deep end. Building it against the deck saved space and created the perfect opportunity for a water feature. Their deck was really the main area of entertainment. Glass rails create a visually larger space, and the kitchen brings the party outside.

A render we did for a design client... I guess the 3Ds sold them because we got the job and were able to build this project too. Check out the album Forest Tranquility for the finished product!

Full property design and build project by Pro-Land that utilized the space this property had to offer. Featuring cobble stone driveway, flagstone walkway and grand entrance pillars to highlight the front porch. In the back curved lines compliment the pool and still leave room for trees to continue to mature, eventually creating some privacy along property lines.

This full backyard landscape is a retreat without having to drive up north. Complete with pool, cabana bar, water feature, pergola, putting green and fire pit, what more could you want to keep everyone entertained. Pieces of turf break up the interlock but also are a fun feature where you can practice your putt. Retaining walls and patio spaces were constructed around large existing trees to maintain shade and privacy, the fire pit area, tucked beneath them. The dining area under the pergola brings indoor entertaining outdoors.

Pro-Land was challenged with the task of incorporating a pool onto a property with large grade changes. Levels quickly became a key feature of this design, highlighting and creating pockets for each usable space. Because of the multiple spaces minimal materials were used throughout. Neutral Unilock pavers were used on the patios and walkways, and a beige toned stone on feature walls creates a cohesion to each space.
