Even with everything going on, we are trying to keep people on the road and getting the work done they are wanting! This 2020 dodge 2500 came to us with less than 1000km on it. We installed a 4.5" lift, 22x12 wheels wrapped in some 35x13.5 tires. To protect the paint as best as we can installed some painted to match flares and some heavy duty Proline flaps! Truck rides and handles great! Had some very happy customers leave the shop with their new look! Hope they enjoy!
Added some dual steering stabilizers and fox shocks up front on this super duty. These should help dampen those bumps and potholes on hwy 16

This, this is insanity. What youre looking at are two officers walking from a chopper, towards some snowmobilers. In the middle of the rustic, beautiful, Nort...hern Rockies. Whatre they doing, you ask? Checking registration/insurance. CHECKING REGISTRATION AND INSURANCE for snowmobiles. This post has NOTHING to do with tickets. You should insure and register your sled! WE DID NOT GET TICKETS. WE REGISTER AND INSURE OUR SLEDS. THIS WAS NOT WITHIN PARK BORDERS OR NO GO AREAS. This post has everything to do with our system, our government, especially the wildlife/forest conservation department. Our government believes that this is a viable way to enforce registration and insurance. - $2200/hr for this A-Star-B2 (Alberta rate) -2 day blitz. I dont know the actual flight hours but they buzzed around us for a couple hours then headed to another area where this picture was taken. Lets say a modest 8hrs of total time. -Wages for the COs approx $30/hr. It was also a stat holiday so Im being really modest here. Were talking nearly $18,000!!! Nearly $18k to nab a few sledders. Thats just the monetary discrepancy. This is the same government proposing all the land closures in this exact mountainous area. Citing, environment issues, animal conservation, etc. We, the people, are fighting to keep these areas open for recreating. Their MAIN focus for closures? Snowmobiles disrupt animals and give pathways for predators. Snowmobiles are excessive polluters. YET... That chopper burns approx 180 liters per hour. The emissions being expelled by this thing, STAGGERING. Noise... Ill put it this way, I heard the chopper OVER-TOP of my sno-go with a SLP stage 2. I dont run an obnoxious can. I prefer actual power gains without the racket. You could hear the whomp-whomp-whomp of the chopper for kms! Im sure the wildlife concerns were plentiful while buzzing over them! Safety... These choppers can trigger avalanches with their sound/vibration/turbulence. We greatly appreciated them buzzing over us, numerous times, at low altitude, snow dusting us, while we carefully navigated through possible avalanche territory. Why do we have avy training, avy pack, beacon, shovel, and probe? To mitigate the risks!! Wasnt kidding when I opened with - insanity. We live in a world where our government spends nearly $18k for 8 hours to ticket snowmobilers for registration/insurance infractions. Flying closely overhead of animals, exhausting them as they flee, tolerated. The copious amounts of pollution emitted, acceptable. The safety of the people, on slopes, ignored. Yet snowmobiles are the threat. This isnt about snowmobilers vs environmentalists. This is about common sense (or the lack thereof). You want to catch a thief on a sled? You dont look for them in the mountains with a chopper. You want to insure that registration and insurance is in place? You set up at the trail head. One way in, one way out, of most riding areas. Set up at 2-3pm and wait for the sledders to load up and go home. Youll be able to stop nearly everyone. Youll be able to confiscate stolen goods. All at the fraction of the cost. You want to stop sledders from entering no-go zones, parks, educate them. Proper signage along zone borders and at staging areas. Impose HUGE fines. ***IMPORTANT*** I would like to conclude that this isnt the pilot or COs, fault. Nor is this directed at them. Theyre just doing their job and for that I commend them. Whos kidding, if asked "Hey there fella, you want to get paid to fly around the mountains, all day, in my choppah?" Wed all jump at the chance!!! So please, dont make this about them. Its the system. Its our government. Its.... Insanity at its finest. Spread the word and share. Join your local snowmobile clubs. Power in numbers! Lets fight to keep our riding areas for years to come!! Follow us on Instagram @backcountrybandit This picture was given to us by a person we know, that took it. It is REAL. We were in the same area on the same day and had the helicopter buzz us numerous times. There were tickets issued to others in the area. ***Edited to clarify further and to monitor the comments of imposing harm, etc.***
