I hate wind! Completely lost greenhouse one cover and most of the footer boards. We'll see how greenhouse two is holding up when the sun comes up? Grrrrr.

Early frost brought an end to our zinnia crop. Such a disappointment. The plants were starting to produce some amazing flowers. All but one of our sunflower varieties survived the early frost and we are still able to harvest for this weekend. Bunches are $12 ea. Autumn is the perfect time to plant shrubs and trees. Although the frost damaged some tips, I have a number of healthy Rose of Sharon shrubs and Catalpa trees ready for transplanting this weekend.... 1g Rose of Sharon shrub - A portion of the sale of these shrubs will be donated to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in my step-mother Joan's memory. $15 ea. 1g Northern Catalpa Tree - Reaches 15-30 m tall and 12 m wide. Leaves are heart-shaped. Trumpet-shaped flowers result in long, thin brown pods. $25 ea. We're open Friday & Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 10am-5 pm this weekend. We accept Cash, Interac Debit, VISA or MasterCard. Personally, we prefer if you use your debit card. Please wear a face mask when you come to visit us. ~ Jenn

We will be closed this Saturday (Sep 18th). I'm heading to Beaverton for Joan's inurnment. I whipped up an arrangement for her... I hope she likes it. Joan was passionate about gardens. She's the only woman I've known with botanical garden memberships in both Canada and the USA. A day or two after Joan passed, I harvested some Rose of Sharon seed at Dad & Joan's. The seeds grew into healthy two-foot shrubs in 1g pots just begging for transplant before freeze-up. I have about ...60 of them I believe. We're selling them for $14.99 ea. We'll donate a portion of the sale of each shrub to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Joan's memory. We will be open Sunday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. I will have sunflower bouquets, and provided the frost holds off I should have zinnia bouquets as well. ~ Jenn
